Has anyone had a LAPAROSCOPY?

I've been TTC for a while now with no results. I went for an HSG (HYSTEROSALPINOGRAM-ouch!) 2 weeks ago to find out that both my tubes are blocked. I have an appt for a lap on the 27th for them to go in and hopefully clear my tubes. I'm so nervous! They told me to expect to be out of work for a week! Its only outpatient surgery, but I'm still petrified! Has anyone else had this done or know someone that had this done with success?

Re: Has anyone had a LAPAROSCOPY?

I have heard of it but I never read or was told that it was painfull..
I can't figure out why you would need to be out of work for a week..
I thought it was a pretty harmless and easy procedure..
Dont worry about it..try to relax..They will unblock your tubes and then your chances of conceiving will be THAT much greater

I wish you the best of luck

Re: Has anyone had a LAPAROSCOPY?

I had laprascopic surgery on my stomach. I had an umbilical hernia. The incision was TINY I cant even see it and after having a c-section I know what pain of being really cut open can be like and lapro. was much better I think I was up and around like 4 days later. Good luck. Take care. And have that baby you've always dreamed of!

Re: Has anyone had a LAPAROSCOPY?

My sister has endometrois and one of her sugeries was going to be laparoscopy. The doctor explained it in detail and it was not a painful sounding procedure (from what he said). I have heard (not personal experience) that it is a minor surgical procedure. She ended up needing a more extensive operation so I don't have anymore info.
GOOD LUCK and I hope everything is okay.
