Ok i have been waiting since around march 24th for a refund of my deposit from the invitation company and have not received it. She was the one who even brought it up and once i said i cant wait that long said she will refund me my money. Considering i had to buy all the supplies now it s*cks to pay for all that and still be out of a 50% deposit. I have emailed her and she STILL has not answered me back. I just emailed her again to tell her that FH is very upset that we dont even get an answer back about when we'll get it back at least, a time frame and he wants to put in a claim, its his name so thats why i mentioned him putting in a claim. I am giving her one more chance to answer me ONLY bc i heard going through a claim can take some time so maybe if she knows we are ready to put in a claim through paypal she'll want to just give us the deposit rather than going through all that
now my question is what i mentioned just above, has anyone done this and how long did it take. Fh said sometimes it can go through right away but some claims can take up to 90 days but dont know what the situation has to be to get it right away or to wait 90 days. I do have an email from her saying she is depositing back our money.
I am so frustrated and pissed off with this lady. I cant believe some people are like this

Denise, I think you should put the claim through tomorrow whether she answers or not. This woman is shady from the minute things started going wrong and you need to cover your bases. Screw her. Just do it. She could be stalling you so the time limit to file a claim passes you never know.

You only have so long to start the claim process, I forget the exact time frames though. I have done it before and won. At first Paypal will try to mediate the situation. But if the seller does not respond after so many days you win and paypal refunds you. There are 2 steps to putting in a claim and right now I cant remember much about it. If you go onto Paypals site there is a section that tells you all about it. HTH.

HUGS Sorry you are still going through all this. ..people like this give ebay a bad name.
I'm not positive but i think you have to wait 2-3 weeks to make a claim.
I have done it in the past but I know that they've changed the rules since. They used to just pay you back after a certain amount of time but now you have to follow through the process.
On the positive side, more recently when I filed as soon as I did so my money was refunded.

Was this an eBay transaction? I'm hoping it is because before my wedding I remember posting if transactions through PayPal which weren't eBay transactions would be covered if something went wrong. Someone told me no and I made the girl make a private auction so it would be covered. You should call PayPal Denise just in case. Or else you'd have to. Take this biatch go small claims court

You maybe able to settle this quicker with your credit card company. I had a bad experience with a ebay transaction. Seller stop responding to my emails. I got the money back by filing the dispute with the credit card company.

thats what i am afraid of and what fh said. The only reason i emailed her one more time was only bc i was hoping this way it would scare her and we could get the money asap instead of waiting maybe 90 days through a claim but yes i dont hear from her tomorrow i am putting in a claim tomorrow night, she only has the morning

Re: has anyone put in a claim with paypal/ebay before
My FH did this before I just asked him/
he said you can open a dispute after 7 days of the finished auction.
open a dispute on paypal commenting that you havent received anything... it usually takes about 7 days and they(ebay) will contact the seller for you and if they dont respond ebay will automatically take out that money and refund it to you.. if the seller does respond ebay will ask them to give proof of shippment.
I hope everything works out for you Denise.
HTH~~!!!

You should definitely put the claim in especially since she hasn't responded back.

Re: has anyone put in a claim with paypal/ebay before
as long as you paid through paypal, you can place a claim through paypal directly. Once you've placed the claim, she will have two weeks to respond. If she doesn't respond, they escalate it - and will most likely rule in your favor, and 'take' the funds from her account, reinstating them to yours.
