Has anyone given you a hard time, that its TOO early??? Personally i dont think its to early, but alot of people do.

Re: Has anyone run into this problem with vendors
I can't say that I have gotten that response from anyone other than family members. All of my vendors have thought it was very smart to book early. As a matter of fact when we went to book the Fox Hollow our BM didn't blink an eye when we told him the date. I gues part of that was because even if we wanted to we couldn't have even booked the larger room because it was already booked for the same day!
Pay no attention to the nay sayers! Get those vendors before the next group of 2008 brides start booking in January!

I don't see what the big deal of book now is and why vendors are giving you trouble about it. What do they expect you to do to book it when every other bride plans to do it so this way you run into the chance of losing out on that vendor.

Hello I had no problems with halls but some photographers are telling me its too early which is annoying! Some photographers seem a little arrogant and say that they are expensive because they are really good! Who are you guys using?

Re: Has anyone run into this problem with vendors
RH's and churches, and usually okay booking 2-3 yrs ahead of time. but other vendors sometimes are not so keen in doing so. photographers and florists worry about ppl changing their mind so early.
i booked most of my vendors for my 2007 wedding, in early 2005. and honestly, only my DJ & videographer are the same now! i changed my flowers, limos, and photographer cause i jumped the gun and booked some stuff i wasn't happy with now. but that was just my experience--not saying the same will happen to you---just that i wished i had waited.
i think once 2007 comes, you ladies will be fine and they will have no problems. so just holdout these next 2 months and you'll have NO issues booking people in 2007 for 2008 weddings!

Re: Has anyone run into this problem with vendors
Thanks for the advice! I am a tax preparer so I have to work crazy 75 hour weeks from Jan - April so I dont have time to do any wedding stuff so I wanted to do some stuff by year end.
How much is everyone paying for photographers if you dont mind? I'm going to someplaces this weekend.

Alot of people say wow it's still to early but they say it's better to be early. cause if you wait to long you might not get the vendor you want.

Re: Has anyone run into this problem with vendors
I am so upset that someone i have my heart set on will not even speak to me before april 2007. I have contacted quite a few high end vendors, and all said it was smart to book now. And another one told me he was already booked for my date.
