Has anyone started collecting things on ebay?

My friend loves Anchor Hocking forest green dishware and has started a nice collection from bidding on ebay. I love Fenton cranberry hobnail glass and got a really nice compote cup from ebay for $5.00 and I was a late last minute bidder too.

I love this sort of glass and never seemed to find it in antique stores. Alot have that 'milky' glass mixed with the cranberry color - I don't like that sort. So ebay is my new collector's friend.

I havent started just expanded on my Cinderella collection. Right now I am looking for a snwglobe ornament that my kids broke it was in the Disney store two years ago and I loved it. I have been looking online and can not find it. It was tear drop with blue tassel at the bottom. really pretty (hint to my Secret Santa)

I never heard of Fenton cranberry hobnail glass, so I did a search on ebay. Turns out I have a piece!! It was my grandmother's and I took it when we sold her house, because it reminded me of her. Great to know - I didn't realize it was something people collected. I might get another piece.

This is the piece I have:

It's very nice! Yours is cranberry 'opalescence' - I like the ones that are just clear cranberry.

This is the piece that I have now. But most of the pieces I see are opalescence - I wonder if my piece is not real. I should bring it to a antique dealer and find out.
