We've been talking about it lately, but we're really interested in taking salsa or meringue!

There is nothing in this world that would make my FI take dance lessons. Guess we'll just be doing 'the sway'.

My Dad and I have been taking lessons for about 6 months now, and FH and I have taken a few lessons also. They are so much fun. We go to John of Ballroom dance Long Island.

yes they are so expensive- but fh wanted to do it- and i think its a good investment- id love to be abel to dance with him at wedding and stuff.. i always wanted to be with a man that dances and the fact that fh is really showing interest- i jumped at it
after our consultation where we learned some basics, fh said he wants dancing shoes! lol

I would like to, but it depends on how much it is... how much does it usually cost?

We took them and had a great time. It was a nice way to relax after a long day at work. We learned the basic steps to the waltz, rumba, cha cha, swing, and tango. We learned more advanced steps to fox trot b/c that's what we danced our first dance to. It was expensive, but worth it.

Re: has anyone taken Dance lessons or planning to take them?
My FI needs a tad bit of help with his rhythm and moves. We can't exactly afford lessons, so my parents gave them to us as a Christmas present. I'm totally excited to start. We have two sets of five, one-hour lessons. Our wedding is in September, so we'll probably do the first five beginning in March/April and the last five closer to the wedding.
My parents take lessons now and totally love it! I can't wait!!!

We did - the results actually were quite interesting apparently FH has a great sense of rythm and can pick up on just about anything after seeing it done once but still hates to dance which is okay b/c i apparently have absolutely no sense of rythm and our first dance has become a very very simple club foxtrot with only a couple steps and no spins or twirls atleast I tried. Teacher was very impressed by FH an he was her star student.

We're trying to find classes that are reasonable, but are definitely planning on it.
