Has anyone used a resume service?

I am going to post again regarding looking for a new job, but I was wondering if anyone had someone do their resume for them? were you happy with the results? how much did it cost?

I tried to help DH, but being that we were in 2 completely different fields...I don't know what companies want to see on his resume...so we made one up and then he went to a recruiter who helped him with his resume...for free...

I used to work as a recruiter for an agency, so I can definitely put a spin on resumes :-)
