Has anyone used Adreinne's Bridal Shop in Islip?
I found 'the' dress at Adrienne's while home for Christmas. Before I put in my order, I am wondering if anyone has used this shop and any experiences you had. I live in San Diego and I don't want a shop that I will have to be pestering and stressing about from 3,000 miles away. Also if you have used this shop, when you order is that when you find out the manufacturer of the dress? I have been SEARCHING the internet for a picture of 'the' dress and without knowing who made it, it makes it VERY difficult! Thanks!

I'm not dealing with them, but Angels Bridal in East Islip is where I'm getting my wedding gown from. They are so nice, and they're suppose to do great alterations.

Adriennes Bridal is where I ordered my dress from last Thursday! I dealt with Carolyn who was SOOO wonderful. My mom made the appointment, which was required, and it was the first shop we went to looking for gowns right before the holidays. I was honestly amazed at the customer service. The shop itself is like an old Victorian house that has only the brides dresses, mother of the bride and flower girl dresses. The back smaller house is the maids cottage, which obviously only has the bridesmaids dresses. When we got there we had a huge room all to ourselves. I figured my mom would be doing all the work getting me into all of the dresses. WRONG!! Carolyn asked me what size bra I needed, assisted me into the bra, and put each and every dress on me (and there were alot). My mom just sat like a queen on a little chair. It was a great experience. Since it was my first time I wasn't sure if 'THE' dress was definitly 'THE' dress. So we shopped around and I didnt find any other Bridal Salon that compared. Also, when we shopped around, I remembered the manufacturer of my dress so at each shop I would inquire at the price of the dress. Adriennes was the cheapest! I honestly figured because they were kind of 'boutiqey' they would be higher. Let me know if you decide to go with Adriennes! Best of luck!! -Lisa

I orderd my dress there in June. Two friends of mine as well as my cousin have gotten there gowns there and no one had a problem at all. I went to two other places before Adreinne's and I felt the most comfortable at Adreinne's. Just ask them who your designer is they shouldn't have a problem telling you. Good Luck!

Your experience was identical to mine! I also had Caroline helping me at Adrienne's and she was great! I had gone looking at dresses here iin San Diego and the customer service was horrendous. Then when I was home for Christmas my mom had made an appt. so we went and I fell in love with the dress. I had all my measurements taken and so I can then just place the order and I guess find out who the designer is. What does your dress look like? When in October are you getting married? Thanks for the response and good luck with everything! Dee

We're getting married October 13th, 2002--- 9 months to go.........WOW, time flies when you are having fun!! My dress is very simple, square neckline, tank bodice top with really pretty 'crystals' and tiny, tiny pearls. Chapel length train. Very elegant and simple. The manufacturer is Paloma Blanca which up in Canada. My matron of honor and I are going to go there for my girls dresses too. I was nervous because 2 of my girls are from out of state, of course No problem! All they have to do is go to a reputable cleaners/tailors have their measurements taken and leave a deposit either on the phone or send up a check. They really are great. Fill me in on what you still have left to do!! -Lisa If you'd rather, email me at [email protected]

Hey Dee, I too am from California, San Francisco and I too went to Adrienne's over Christmas time and I might be ordering my gown from there. Either there or Paradise Bridal in Patchogue. What does your dress look like, I tried on many gowns there and know a lot of the designers..I also know of some designers who dont advertise online at all and Adrienne's carries this particular line. email me at [email protected] if you want..or here!!

Hey there! Another long distance planner! Maybe we were at Adrienne's at the same time! Thanks for your help, the dress I tried on there was an A line dress, beaded spaghetti straps, organza dress with some crystal/bead design on the top part of the dress and along the train, as well. How are your plans going? Did you look for your dress out in CA, too? I liked the stores and selections in NY much better. What does your dress look like? Talk to you soon! Dee

I used them for my wedding...
I ordered my gown from there, and I have to say, the gown was beautiful, and they were 'right on' with the sizing, and they did wonderful alterations (I had sleeves added to the dress) - they even made three different types of sleeves for me!!! My only suggestion is that you lie to them and tell them your wedding is a few weeks before it actually is. The dress comes in on time, but they schedule alterations a little too close to the wedding date for my comfort (I ended up having to go to the seamstress's house two nights before the wedding for final alterations, because she offered to work on the dress at home after hours). But, they do know what they're doing there, and they have a wonderful selection. Good luck.Welcome New Vendors
