or have you been to a party where they were used?

A) Which DJ/ MC do you recommend?

B) Which package did you purchase?

C) Were you happy with their music selection- if they did not have a song you wanted- did you have to get it yourself?

D) Are they appropriate for all ages at a formal wedding?

I'm using Vinny for my wedding.

My reasons:

1. I wanted a basic package... nothing fancy and he didn't try to sell me anything more than that. He kept telling me 'it's your day so whatever you want'. I like people that say that to me...

2. He is the dj and mc but he also has other packages.

3. ALL of his packages are cheaper than anyone else around because he doesn't do a wedding markup... some companies will charge $800 for a retiurement party but for the same package $1300 for a wedding. Yes, it happens, ladies most companies have different price sheets... the wedding one has the same packages but more $$$$$. He charges the same price for a wedding as for any other party.

4. His costs are also lower because he works out of his house. Another dj company I went to had an entire wharehouse... I'm not paying the rent on that.

5. I haven't been to any parties where he has been used but I've heard a lot of great things and got a great vibe from him. He was the first vendor (after the hall) that FH and I booked.

6. If he doesn't have the song he gets it. that's another thing. He buys it. A lot of places download their music and there are edits or cuts in the song. He told me his wife hates it but if one bride wants a certain song, he buys it.

7. I think he's appropriate I told him I wanted my family to dance but no silly sunglasses, giveaways or group dances. I know some people like them but not me. Some other companies were trying to convince me that I needed these extras and that annoyed me. Vinny will do what you want. If you want the extras he'll do them.

very well said - I agree with all of this and thats why i am using him. Most DJ's tried to upsell or tell me how a wedding is 'done.' I hated that. I have very specific ideas about what i want, and Vinny kept saying 'Whatever you want.' Those were the magic words.

I am going to meet with him next saturday so I will definitely be able to tell you things you'd like to know. Any specific questions you have and I don't mind asking him? (Unless you want to know if he does lap-dances, I can't ask that)

He's the one vendor FH wanted to book on the spot! I made him wait so I could do more research and we wound up going back to Vinny.
