Has anyone used 'my bridal pix'?
I saw this on craigslist and basically you post your date, location and price range and photographers bid on the job. I already got 2 bids but I'm hesitant to book anyone....

Personally, I would be hesitant as well. You are talking about your wedding photos and you don't want to book with just anyone. Is there a way you can look them up? Do they have there own website where you can see some of there work?

Yes, the people that have responded have websites with nice photos. They are from MA and PA and said they want to do it to build their portfolio. I'm just worried they won't show up!

That's a tough one... I'm not so sure I would feel comfortable to use them especially for a wedding. Choosing a photographer for me and my FH was the most difficult for us in regards of our vendors. We picked our photographer regarding the feedback we heard from other brides, meeting them and seeing there work. I understand they are trying to make a name for themselves but I would not feel comfortable with them taking wedding pictures. Maybe an anniversary dinner party or even a surprise birthday party but that's just my opinion.

If you are looking for photographer that isn't expensive, try Complete Wedding Packages in East Meadow. They have very nice sample albums you can see and they have good reviews online.

I would be weary about using something like that for photography. I feel that photography is very important for weddings. The biggest regret I have heard from people is getting a bad photographer that didn't get the pics they wanted or never giving them the pics! You want to be sure you go with someone that has a solid reputation. Good luck!

I would be weary of this. I hired a photographer I found through groupon for my bridal shower and he showed up late, left early and uploaded my photos a week later than promised and only after a f/u email. I still haven't received my hard copy. This is your wedding day and you don't want to take any chances. Go with a reputable photographer that will work with your budget, good luck.
