Do you want to hear something really strange, my dad and I talked politics from the time i hit 16. he said the world is turning into a garden of sin..like Sadom and Gamora (spelling) and as i get older it will only get worst, whats so funny is that he said that when it starts getting worse that in some prophets books they forsee WWIII as the beginning of the end, it talked about men sleeping with men, fathers sleeping with daughters.... This scares the crap out of me because that was 12 years ago that we had this discussion. Some coincidences really have no explaination.
It's definitely scary. So many individuals have such a warped view on the world. I wish the world was a happy peaceful place where everyone could just get along. I hate controversy. It does seem to be getting worse and worse as time goes on.
I think a lot of these things have ALWAYS happened, it's just that they are more likely to come out into full view these days because people are not as afraid of shame anymore as they always were. Not to mention that the media and other methods of communication are far more vast now than ever before. So of course we're going to hear more about the bad stuff in the world. I'm still not entirely convinced the world is worse than it was. We just notice it more. Like teen pregnancy(just as an example)...girls used to get sent away years ago, so you didn't actually SEE pregnant teens running around. The shame is almost gone now, and girls stay home with their families, and we see them in the mall and on the streets. So they were always there, just not in the public eye. Same thing with child molesting priests. They were always doing it, we just found out about it now though. But that 's just my take on it.
