has this happened to you?

i wrote a post about my unhappiness with my photographer and now the post is no longer up? What's the deal.

Can i not post unhappiness with the photographer andd name them?

I think its totally ridiculous that they would take your post down. The whole point of this site is to help each other with opinions and reviews and I think its compltely unfair if they took it down. You said nothing harsh or inappropriate. Just gave your opinion of your experience.

And yes, that is ridiculous!!!!!!! I read your post too. It wasn't vulgar or offensive in any way. It was an honest opinion. It should've stayed up!!!

i just found out that my negative review on our transportation was taken out of my wedding review who happens to be a major vendor here. still waiting to hear why? i know they take down stuff to protect you so i have to read what i wrote again. all i know is that i wrote the truth go figure

Apparently of you are a vendor on LIW you can have the negative reviews removed. I did not know this when I first came on the sight. Just because you do not see a bad review on here does not mean that there arent any.

Unfortunately the vendors are who pay for this site and CS will continue to remove bad reviews. The fact that bad reviews are removed really takes away from the site. Yes I agree I have met amazing girls on this site but the real reason I joined the site was to find out about vendors.

Now I am curious since I am looking for a photographer. I depend on this website to help me research potential vendors. Not happy that we are only getting one side of a story!!

I did read your post yesterday. There was nothing wrong in what you wrote, other then you made the dreaded mistake of putting the vendors name in it.

I am very suprised that they took the whole post down instead of just removing the photographers name, because the info that was given to you for the other brides was very helpful.

Do not rely on this site for researching vendors. Make sure that you check the BBB ratings, look on other websites (but be cautious as well because I am sure they do the same thing), do a general Google search and most importantly... Go with your gutt. If your gutt is saying something is not right.. you are probably right

This way, you aren't posting in the forum but let who ever is interested know your experience. Makes sense??

I've had FM's pulled without notice either...not sure if that is the solution.
Still not sure of the criteria for a pulled FM or post.
Someone had FM'd me a email address. I looked at it but when I went back to it later it was gone.

Yeah This has happened before!
I don't know what the 'criteria' are for pulling the posts, but I don't think it's right at all.

That is one major flaw of this site. That's why I take advice here with a grain of salt. But I do like the other brides here and knowing there are other wedding crazed brides on long island out there is nice.
