Have any of you had a 'bridezilla' moment?

Original post by NapaValleyGirl

OK I truly hate the term bridezilla. Unfortunately, I think I may be having one of those moments.... I feel REALLY bad but I think I may be driving one of my vendors nuts. (Invitations) For some ODD reason, I'm more obsessed with my invites than I have been with my wedding dress, flowers or band. It's kind of weird.... I've made her change things over and over and I've questioned decisions that I've made. I am also paying alot (i added on extras than her normal invites)

Can anyone else please share so I don't feel quite as bad??

i took 6 months to do my invites.. i drove my vendor (international) nuts!!! he switched designers for me 3 times because it wasn't what i wanted.. then i designed it myself and send him the stuff.. now and i've recieved soo many compliments on it.. i think it was all worth it.. and also it was featured on his website..

so no worries.. and i drive my parents up the wall too..

LOL! I'm driving my mother nuts also. But honestly, she's being crazy as well. 'Momzilla'

I think we all have had moments! I know I drove my hall nuts! But I felt like I was spending so much money and not asking for anything too difficult and yet it was still hard to get the right answer to questions. So i would just keeping asking them till I got answers. And i think they were mad when I asked for things in writing. Weddings are a large sum of money and any large purchase makes people question things, so I dont think its uncommon for almost everyone to have their moments. Dont feel bad!

I've changed my hall and my dress. Still questioning if I've made the right dress choice and some how this is all everyone elses fault. Still haven't booked florist b/c can't make a decision. IDK if indecision counts as being a bridezilla but it is driving everyone around me nuts.

I wouldnt worry- she seems pretty cool! I constantly am apologizing via email for my craziness & she's always like, its ok, I was a bride not that long ago & understand- so dont worry!

i went crazy w/ invites -- i was so indecisive, i knew i wanted ivory linen paper and specific fonts but i wanted something very simple but a little different. i was sooooooo indecisive, i was going to clue a flower on the top but i couldnt find any i liked, i was going to run lace down the side but i didnt find any i liked, i didnt like our letters in a monogram bc i thought the S looked funky, i was going crazy.

then when they were ordered i went through 3 sets of proofs tweaking font size and layout.

sooo... invites were my bridezilla issue too

LOL. I was crazy because I didn' t like the '&' symbol she used. I made her change the '&' symbol a million times and my monogram a million times.....

i sent her specific fonts for the wording that she had to download and my '&' is going to be in a diff font because its the only '&' that i liked

I was freaking out because I thought the '&' she used was 'too thick.'

I need my head checked.

Re: Have any of you had a 'bridezilla' moment?

I've been pretty good and doing pretty much everything by myself except for some help from maid of honor, but I had to have a meltdown with my fiance 2x to get his butt in gear! We have a month to go and only now has he decided on groomsmen

Even getting addresses from him for invites was like pulling teeth, so I had to freak out on him to get serious and explained that I wanted to get everything done earlier rather than be super stressed the week of-- and then both our lives would be a living hell and he'd really see bridezilla

Don't worry, it's okay to have a few bridezilla moments, so you can be chill on the actual day!

Re: Have any of you had a 'bridezilla' moment?

I think I've had one, but it was definitely a combination of me being bridezilla and my FMIL being FMIL-zilla. I tried to research a few places for a rehearsal dinner and my FMIL DEFINITELY felt like I was stepping on her toes, so she called FH and I over to dinner and basically said in so many words that she would be deciding, we have no say in the rehearsal dinner location, and to back off. THEN she said it was going to be in the back room of a local pizza place that does not have a liquor license. I started to freak out as soon as we left, i was going insane on IM to some of my BMs about how I can't stand my FMIL and how I didn't want to have my RD at some pizza place. I wanted FH to even talk to her about.

In the end, he never did talk to her about it, and on her own she decided not to have it at the pizza place. Instead, she has been going to every restaurant local to our church and she is really trying to pick a nice place.

Moral of the story - EVERYTHING WILL WORK OUT, bridezilla or no bridezilla!!!!
