Have no idea where to look for RH's need some help ladies!
I just got engaged in Sept and me and FH want to start looking, i've been to Majestic Gardens and East Wind...I wanna look at Jericho Terrace, Chateau La Mer, Fox Hollow and a few other places, can any brides give me some feedback to those places that i've listed. I'm freaking out b/c Sat nights are soo $$$$$ so we were thinking of October (Columbus Day weekend) in 2008 but im panicking that all the places are going to book up and they wont have room for me... please whatever feedback i can get i GREATLY appreciate...

Maybe this thread will help? It has a ton of ideas for halls and has some prices for 2007 ...
Some of the prices would be higher for 2008, but it'll give you a rough ballpark idea.

I think Chateau la Mer is VERY reasonable for Saturday nights, considering all that you get!! Check them out!

I got married the Sunday of Columbus Day weekend this year. We didn't book our hall til Oct of last yr I think you still have sometime.
Chateau La Mer gave us a really good price but we ended up going with the Westbury Manor (which I also recommend checking out)
Jericho Terrace and Fox Hollow were the most expensive quotes we got for a Saturday wedding but their Sunday prices were really good.

I did NOT book my RH (and wedding site) till Sept.Oct of this year and I am getting married 7/7/07, the most popular date of the year! You have time, I didn't thin I did but there are still days/times avail. for 2007.

Tall Grass Country Club is in between Majestic Gardens & East Wind. It's much more affordable than the others and the room is brand new. It’s a Lessing’s catering hall. I had my wedding there this past October and loved them. http://www.lessings.com/UNI_home.asp?ui=TAL&ven=w

i second the riviera as well! they give you so much in their packages too (inc. cake, centerpieces, linens, etc) but if you are looking at october, i would suggest going soon and booking.. even though its almost 2 years away, october is the new june and those weddings book up sooo quickly

I had my wedding at East Wind (Estate) and it was wonderful! See my review...
where are your guests coming from? Cause you are looking at places all the way East and then Much further West too- this may help you narrow down a bit
