that I have been on this website for some time now and I feel that I have been holding back. I love the advice and ideas that I get on this site but have been afraid to share much about my wedding because it is 'untraditional' and some people may not agree with it. But, I feel that I must get it out. I am a lesbian and I am having a commitment ceremony. But at the same time it is exactly like a 'traditional' wedding in every sense but that I am marrying a girl not a guy. I am very 'girlie' and have always dreamed of the fairytale wedding. Luckily I have come into contact with numerous vendors that have been open and accepting of my situation. I think that I would have been devastated if I could not have the wedding of my dreams. I hope that I am not offending anyone and that I will still be a welcome member on the boards, but I just felt that I was almost lying when I came on here and wanted to be truthful! Thanks!! Who cares if you are marrying a man or woman...you are committing to that person and celebrating your love with those you care about! I am all for legal marriage for same sex couples...don't know why people get so bothered by that! Happy planning and may you have a wonderful life together!!!! And please keep sharing!!!

Thank you so much! It makes me so happy to hear this support! We are actually pretty far along in the planning. We have the hall (Giorgio's), photographers (ADA). I bought my gown already. I am sure I am missing other things but I love this site~ Thanks again girls!

1st OFF CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2ndly... I just went to a BEAUTIFUL Commitment ceremony in April... it was beautiful! If you need any info as to who or what they used just ask! Their reception was at the Thatched Cottage and it was absolutely amazing!
