Have to share...I feel sad...

So, my Dad's Birthday is today and I thought that I can get through the day without shedding a tear...I kept my mind occupied at work and then I decided to come home and clean for a bit. I can't stop thinking about him. He passed away last year on July 4th. It was so unexpected...I really wish he will be there with me on my wedding day. I know I sound selfish saying this but, it's not good enough that he will be there in my heart. I want him really to be there. I miss him and I am very bummed out that I couldn't go to his grave and visit him for his Birthday. The weather was just too awful. I hope that I didn't bring anyone down reading this. Thanks for allowing me to share my feelings!

I am so sorry for the loss of your father I am crying as I write this post because I can't imagine how you are feeling. Cry, laugh- do whatever gets you through today and after. And remember, we're here for you.

I know how you feel, I can't go to see my Mom & Dad's grave because they are buried in Fl, what I do on their Birthday's is I put Flowers next to their pictures. I know that your Dad is always with you and that he understands it when you can not go to see him....


I also know the on the day you get married he will be right beside you not only walking down the aisle but he will be next to you when you take your vows.....

it's good that you felt comfortable to share your feelings. we are all here for you. I will be thinking of you on your wedding day...knowing that your dad will be right by your sad.

I am so sorry about your dad. I am sure you miss him and of course you want him to be there. He will be there for you, maybe not how you want it but he is always with you.

I'm doing a memory candle as well & having my siblings walk up the aisle first and light it in memory of my mom... I'm also doing the bouquet charms & a page in my program.. here's a pic
