Have you been re-gifted???

I was so re-gifted ...I got this weird salad bowls and a matching dip tray. I called the company and they stopped making the line 4 years ago!!
I got another weird glass bowl....this time the company stopped making it 3 years ago!

Is it wrong to put it on ebay????

I don't think it does. It's not like they went to the store and worked hard to find you something that you like or could use. They just unloaded an unwanted item.

I don't think it does. It's not like they went to the store and worked hard to find you something that you like or could use. They just unloaded an unwanted item.

i totally agree i think that since they gave you something that they didnt want instead of picking something from there heart or something that you had on your regitry its fine to sell it on ebay. it doesnt make you a bad person it makes you a practical one. i returned all the things i didnt like or pick from my shower and engagement. otherwise your home will be overflowing with stuff you will never use and end up throwing away anyway.

OMG! Get rid of it!!!

DH has these 8 aunts who are SO SWEET! But, they decided to go out to the Mikasa store and pick a new set of casual china for me...6 of them split of the pieces of the set, 2 of the other ladies picked other stuff, a different set of pots for me, some carving utensils...

But, my aunt bought my entire set of casual china that *I* picked out...so, back to the Mikasa store for the rest of it...I ended up with $300 in store credit (to which, I still have $100- I don't even need anything from there)...

I don't think it would have been fair for me to have to store an entire set of china that I never requested...I hope that doesn't sound mean, but who has room for 2 sets of casual...we're talking HUGE serving pieces to boot...

I posted this subject on NWR board. I got regifted bad actually I do every year by my DH grandma. And for my shower I got ugly stuff that we didnt register for so we are having a yard sale!

That's sooo funny!!!! I tell DH ALL THE TIME we need to have a yard to sale to unload! Like the stuff from my cousin that we couldn't return to LNT because the barcode was missing cause they took the rebate on it!

I re-gifted!

DH and I received a Pottery Barn gift card for our wedding, but since we're not fans of the Pottery Barn, I used it for a bridal shower gift (the bride-2-be was registered there.)

Does that make me tacky?

i got the most hideous, gigantic picture frame fro my shower. it is so ugly, it has to be a re-gift! i tried to return it to fortunoff and macys. people there looked at em like i was crazy! now it is sitting in my trunk until i decide what do with it!

For my shower I got a picture frame that is all yellowed and has silk flowers on it and they are all crushed and the corner piece on the glass is chipping. My SIL called my Best Friend and said 'you have to invite this person' Well never seen her before I looked at my SIL the day of my shower and said Who the hell is that? I had no Clue who she was. She didnt give us a great wedding gift either.

Mikes Grandmas sister (the one who gives me on of her pocketbooks every year) gave us a knife set that u get for free when u sign up for an acct. at a bank!
