Have you ever visited a vendor and wanted to walk out
After just walking in the place? Like you knew just right away you wouldn't be booking with them. We've visited many photographers and the last one we met with we just knew it was the place. It was the only place we both agreed upon. So, me always thinking there's going to be something bigger or better out there, decided to look at 2 more places. One I ended up canceling and the other I want to last night. I used to lived a few blocks away which is how I knew about it. The place was locked when we showed up so we call and the owner lets us in, disappears telling us the representive will be in shortly and she's really busy so she can't show us anything. This is after I called to confirm the appt and my name wasn't even written in lol. So we start looking at books and I feel like the pictures are from 1975..so outdated and really cheesy poses. I was gonna say to FH lets just leave but I felt bad. So the rep comes in, looking like she came from the gym, shows us the albums, doesn't explain anything. Shows us a proof book, which I hated also, gave us a price list then took us back to the 'studio' where she recommended we take pictures. There were imitation pillars and backdrops. Now during this whole presentation, I don't think I said anything. As soon as she brought us back up front, we left. Such a waste a time. This place has beein in business for close to 20 years too. I guess this goes to show everyone has different tastes..

I felt like this at a couple of the RH's that FH & I visited. I knew as soon as we stepped inside (or as we were walking through the parking lot...) that it was not the place for us. However, we let them give us their spiel, we asked out questions, and pretended to be somewhat interested so as to avoid any awkwardness.

We definitely had places like this. At one studio we really felt like our time was wasted, and this studio just assumed we were goin to book them. They also resorted to trying to put down other studios.

I definitely felt this way at one RH and one dj that we visited. The dj was nice, but totally not for us (very 'clubby'). I just immediately hated the RH, but felt rude leaving (although the person walking around with us was VERY rude!).

Wow sounds like you had a horrible experience!! I haven't been in that position, but I know I would be tempted to leave! I probably wouldn't because I would feel too bad because I am too nice, lol, but I would definitely zone out and just not pay attention.

Hm this was the same experience that I had at one of the RH's I didn't like. I felt rude leaving, but the BM was quite rude as well.
They had an outside area that they said was only open until the first couple of weeks in October. And I kept trying to ask, 'Well what if it's warm in November? Would it possibly be open?' And the guy kept answering me (nastily) in a way that he was trying to say 'no' without actually saying it.
Ex: 'If it's warm the day of our wedding, would this be open?'
'Well it would probably be too cold for your wedding.'
'But if it's warm in November, can they open it?'
'::chuckle:: It'll be too cold!'

I don't know if it was the same one, but after we said we wanted to get married in July because Fh and I are both teachers, he responded after everything 'oh, but you can't afford that--you're both teachers'
Obnoxious!

i has the exact same experience with Glen Cove Mansion- we walked and it was nice, but the guy was SOOOOOOO rude that after speaking with him for 2 seconds i wanted to leave. and as he was showing us around- we ended up not liking the room layout, which was the first thing we were shown- he continued to walk around like he had a stick up his butt! my FH and i kept making eyes at each other the whole time!!! and then he leaves us and my FH was like 'he is such an a$$!' haha

FH and I went to one RH and as soon as walked in, I knew and then I looked at FH and he was like, no way. It was so outdated and it smelt moldy. The guy had us there for almost 2 hours and wouldn't stop talking. Finally, i was like, okay, we will call you.

Re: Have you ever visited a vendor and wanted to walk out
There were definitely a few RH's and a few vendors that I just knew it was not for us. We went to one DJ and he was very over the top for us. The guy would not stop calling me, even after I told him I booked a band instead, he was clearing not getting the message.

Re: Have you ever visited a vendor and wanted to walk out
Yes! One RH i visited i literally walked in, knew it wasn't for us and since the BM was running about 15 minutes late, we just walked right out. Another RH i visited, the BM knew we weren't into it I guess so he sped through the tour, sat us down and showed us pictures for 5 minutes, and sent us on our way, we were in there for 10 minutes! and it took us longer to walk from the place to the parking lot where our cars were parked.
