I could never do that. Especailly not here. This is the only job i've had sicen college-- If I screwed them over, I'd have NO references!

Re: Have you ever walked off the job?
Yes, and I also once told a boss 'I'm giving you my 2 weeks notice... a week and a half ago.'
It's because of my principles.

yes I have - if I didnt I would have ended up in a mental institution! I guess I wouldnt have done that if I needed references though.

Re: Have you ever walked off the job?
I only did this once and it was the first job I ever had. I was 18 at the time and due to some personal issues, I came in told my boss tha t I quit and I left. It was retail and I was getting paid off the books anyway but I wouldn't do it again. I'm too responsible know.

Re: Have you ever walked off the job?
twice when I was in college - but they were crap retail/telemarketing jobs and I still lived at home. As much as I really want to just bail on this place sometimes, sadly, I have a mortage to pay now, so it's not an option This is also my only job since college, and I'll need this as a reference whenever I do have the chance to leave!

Re: Have you ever walked off the job?
I did about 6 yrs ago and had a family at the time. DH was making nice money though. I want to walk off here I do not care so much about references. Unfortunately money is tight now cause of the store the first year of business is hard to establish yourself.

Re: Have you ever walked off the job?
I worked for a place for almost three years and to preserve my mental stability, I left one day and sent an email that I was not coming back. Drastic measures but I never wanted to ever see those people again

Re: Have you ever walked off the job?
Yeah, when I was younger and worked retail, actually the last job I walked on was foru years ago, I worked at a hair salon, just as a receptionsit, I also applied color and perms, but the boss treated me like I was ten..I had finally had it and walked out, she came to the window and was like 'what are you doing'and I proudly gave her the finger..it was childish..but made me feel so damn good!

Re: Have you ever walked off the job?
No, but I really wish I did when I worked at Dunkin Donuts when I was younger for 3 days. What a$$es. Timing me on how fast I could do these stupid cleaning tasks. I wasn't training to be a maid at the Plaza, for crying out loud.

Re: Have you ever walked off the job?
I rather get fired to collect then walk off. If you walk off you can not collect unemployment. But it is so hard to get fired as s tupid as that sounds
