Have you ever walked out of the theater during a movie?
If so, what movie and why?
I wanted to walk out of the pallbearer b/c it was so bad, but we all stayed b/c it was taped near our neighborhood, so we wanted to see local sights.
On Broadway I saw 'The Goat Or Who is Sylvia?' in previews and people just kept walking out throughout the show, by intermission only 1/4 of the audience was left. The play was about a man who falls in love with a goat. Its not a sick play or a play about or condoning bestiality, but it has a lot of meaning, for example, he can't help loving this goat, but he condemns his son for being gay. I thought it was a brilliant play. People didn't get it, I guess. I mean, HELLO! it's Edward Albee, did you expect sunshine and roses? I think I just hijacked my own thread in the first post

I wanted to walk out of the Blair Witch projec t, but I thought DH really wanted to see it & we were newly dating then, so I didn't want to cause any problems.
I walked out of a doucmentary on Indian restaurants at a student Film Festival at the new School.
(One of the best decisions I've ever made! )
ETA-Oh, I also walked out of the Crying Game, but that wasn't on principal, I snuck into it in the first place, b/c I was waiting for someone who worked there to finish his shift & drive me home, so I left when he was ready to go.

I wanted to walk out of All the Pretty Horses...it is by far the most horrible movie I have ever seen and it was excruating to watch...not to mention Penelope Cruz's voice (in English) makes me want to cut off my ears. But alas, I stayed since I went with girlfriends and we just made fun of the movie.
When I was 12 I remember walking out of a movie and asking for a refund...I dn't the remember the name though. I was spunky back then, huh?

I think the first week a movie opens you should be allowed to ask for a refund if you walk out within a certain amt of time.

The only thing I ever wanted to walk out on was when I saw 'Titanic' in preview on Broadway. Awful beyond awful; but I was with a group and felt obligated to stay.

Actually. You are entitled to a refund at any point of a pictures run if you walk out during it!
True story!!!
Trust me. I OFTEN want to walk out of movies. I only actually did it once. And I've walked out of two Broadway shows. (There was a third one I wanted to walk out of, but there was no intermission--they were VERY smart not to have an intermission.)
By the way: I don't care what Billy Crudup was interested in F&*King. He's GORGEOUS!

This is true! Although some theaters have 'rules' that say they'll only refund within the first 1/2 hour because otherwise you've seen the movie...but for the most part,. you should get a refund...

I walked out of Natural Born Killers.
My boyfriend at the time stayed! He thought Oliver Stone was a visionary. We broke up very soon after that!
