Have you ever walked out of the theater during a movie?

Original post by marymoon

If so, what movie and why?

I wanted to walk out of the pallbearer b/c it was so bad, but we all stayed b/c it was taped near our neighborhood, so we wanted to see local sights.

On Broadway I saw 'The Goat Or Who is Sylvia?' in previews and people just kept walking out throughout the show, by intermission only 1/4 of the audience was left. The play was about a man who falls in love with a goat. Its not a sick play or a play about or condoning bestiality, but it has a lot of meaning, for example, he can't help loving this goat, but he condemns his son for being gay. I thought it was a brilliant play. People didn't get it, I guess. I mean, HELLO! it's Edward Albee, did you expect sunshine and roses? I think I just hijacked my own thread in the first post

Walked out of Blade- I think thats what it was called...whatever it was called in the first scene there was blood pouring out of the overhead sprinklers....I knew the movie wasnt me..We then snuck into the studio 54 movie (it was the only time I ever snuck into a movie)

I did once. I can't remember the title, but Bruce Willis was in it (an old, not popular Bruce Willis movie).

Never - I'm too cheap to pay for something and then not see it

Well I loved Natural Born Killers, and I've seen Fight Club like 30 times.

I desperately wanted to walk out of AI, but I was with a group of people, so I couldn't.

I really really wanted to leave in the middle of Sin City, but DH seemed into it, so I didn't.

Then when we were driving home he said 'I really wanted to walk out, but you looked like you were enjoying it!!'

So much for open communication!!

I walked out of Junior starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. I wanted to murder myself 30 minutes into it.

It took 30 minutes?

I really really wanted to walk out of Eyes Wide Shut but my best friend wouldn't leave so I just sulked and pouted until the worst three hours of my life finally came to an end.

Was the dislike Tom Cruise realted, or you just didn't like the movie? I haven't seen it because I am not a big Tom fan (even pre-Katie)

I walked out of that stupid George Clooney movie with Brothers in the title. It was brutal and that was the first time I ever did that with DH.

I also fell asleep (and i am not a napper) at the theater watching American Sweetheats with Billy Crystal, Julia Roberts. AND it was one of the first dates me and DH went on.

Me and DH usually shut off movies if we are renting. ANchorman was the most recent one we did that too....I HATED THAT MOVIE.
