Have you or would you wear jeans to a Bridal Shower?

I would never, but a went to a baby shower a few months ago and everyone wore jeans! FH's mom and her side of the family never really dress up. I was dissapointed--FSIL called me the morning of to warn me (the person who's shower it was wore jeans too BTW) and I couldn't do it, so I wore dress pants.

FSIL's baby shower is this Saturday and I will be wearing a dress. I might be dressier than half the people there, but oh well! I wish they dressed up more!

So haha...no I would not wear jeans...but I've seen it happen!

UM NO. What's wrong with people?!

The only people I expect to see in jeans on my shower are my two best gays--and even they'll prob wear something fabulous!

Never - I dont care if its in a backyard.

Anything with an invite (unless a theme is involved) warrants you wearing something nicer then jeans, IMO.

IMHO it all depends where it is
I have been to showers at restaurants and catering halls and i would def NOT wear jeans
however mine is more casual - its at my aunts house so itll be more like a bbq in which case i do want everyone to be there and comfortable

ugh.....it kinda sucks since I'm the first of my group of friends getting married so a lot of them are completely clueless through no fault of their own. I'm having a brunch in a cute restaurant...just make an effort will you

and it's not like a friend who always wears jeans. She dresses up when we have diners and stuff and has pletny of dresses

Why are you even involved in the e-mail chain?!?!? I gues you know when your shower is which is fine but details and issues like that should not involve the bride!!!

Maybe in this case it's good you were since you told them no jeans lol

we have a general email chain to shoot the breeze between 7 of us. It wasn't a email chain just for my shower but like you said, I'm glad she even asked and didn't just show up in jeans and flip flops.

she just replied to my 'you don't wear jeans to a bridal shower! ' with

'Ever?! I've seen pics of other girls' bridal showers online, and there are DEFINITELY girls in jeans. But who knows, maybe the bride-to-be was glaring them all down. Lol ok then I guess a dress or skirt. '

at least she wasn't hard to bully into a skirt

OK.. So I dont like how dresses look on me...
BUT I will NOT wear JEANS to a BS!!!!

I will buy another dres!=)
