i'm so upset guys! i had a make up consulation today and i'm not happy with the results. (eyebrows were colored in ugly, hideous red color on lips) aside from the bad trial, i'm just upset and freaking out. i didn't budget much on hair & make up and go figure-that's what i'm probably gonna spend the most on. i can't justify expensive make up trials/day of fees (the trial i went on today was free). i gave the make up artist this heads up. i told her i'm only interested in m/u for myself [no bp, no mom's, nothing] and when i met her today she told me it would be $600 for me alone! i know, i know, it's my day, it's money well invested but there is no way i can do that! more than anything i'm upset i wasted her time and mine. she must've sensed my utter shock at her price cause she said the absolute lowest she could bring it down was 450, but again, i can't bring myself to justify that expense. here are some pics i'm so ready to just give up and do it myself. ugh!!! aggravation!!!

try Jaqueline Nicole....I can almost guarantee that you will love her work and she is not even close to that expensive. She did my make-up for my wedding and it was only me. The trial wasn't much either. She is a vendor on here....

Lupita, I originally thought $150 for makeup was a lot too! I quickly came to realize that it's not - considering the quality of the work that Mia does!!!
Unfortunately, she might already be booked for your day - I would check with her before anything. I think having someone come to you is a great option - going out to a local place is fine, but if you really don't have to, then why do it? Also, Mia is great with all skintones, so I'm sure she's know what colors work best for you.

That's a lot of money, and I think she could have done more for you with the eyeshadow. I called a lot of places, and the price range for the day of makeup was $125-$150. I know there are more expensive, but I didn't call them.

Seriously try Jacqueline Nicole. She is great and reasonably priced. If too much, then ask your hair salon if they do make up. Might be cheaper. I think your trial looked nice> It might be more than you are used to, but in pics you want that. I agree with not liking the eye shadow... but otherwise it looks nice. Now the price, is not good. Too much. Don't panic you have time and it will work out
