Having second thoughts about my favor idea

We are planning on doing recipe books. We would have friends and family submit recipes, either through email or directly to the site that does the books, but now I'm having second thoughts about the idea. Is it a dumb favor? Uh, told FH my concerns and he said he still wants to do it. I'm just afraid that no one is going to submit recipes and its not going to work out. Should I start contacting people now and see what the outcome is so that if I get nothing I will still have time to do something else?? I just have no clue what the 'something else' should be. Decisions, decisions!!

I think that is such a cute idea! I think if you give people enough time you'll def have a bunch.

I don't think that it's a dumb favor, I think people will really enjoy it! It's a very unique idea!! GL!

I think that is great idea!! It is so personal and touching. I would still do it. It is very unique.

I think it's a terrific idea. I would love to receive a recipe book if I were going to a wedding!

Don't change it. I love your idea. It is cute, unique and very useful. don't give up. Try getting recipes from immeiate family an friends by phone and with the stds send something saying how much you need their recipes. Also don't forget at your bridal shower you can round up recipes there. It is a great gift you just have to be ontop of it-but it will work out.

I think this is a nice idea. If you don't get all the recipes you need, go on to Food Network- they have tons of good ones on there!

Thats a great idea..you have to do it!! hehe. Even if you just get a few from family and friends..you can also have a section where it says something like 'Our Favorite Recipes' I'm sure you can find some great ones from the girls on here and from online...
