So we have finally looked into the details of our honeymoon and have accepted the fact that we are not getting a free week at my parent's timeshare (the exchange didn't come thru )
Question for you ladies:
We are thinking of staying in Resortquest Kaanapali Shores resort - it seems to have a really nice pool and beach area, plus it comes with a kitchen - any reviews or pics?
For the big island, we want to stay at the Waikola Marriott, which is pretty pricey but has a beautiful pool area and beach right there. Is it worth it to pay a litlte extra to have a nice pool area/beach in front of the hotel?
Also, we can't get a flight to the big island until the morning after we arrive in Maui and plan on staying at the Maui Seaside Hotel (cheap and near airport, we arrive at 8:30 pm and will fly out first thing in the am) - just want to make sure this place is cheap, but doesn't have BUGS !
Any other tips or suggestions? We are going for 1 week in each place.

bump
Anyone know how far Hilton Waikoloa Village (the HUGE hotel) on the big island is from Kaluhu-Kona (shops and restaruants) in time, not distance?

Hey there..we stayed down the road from Hilton Waikaloa village (sorry for butchering the spelling) and we ran into people staying there and they loved it...there is also great shopping right on the premises ;) We stayed at the Fairmont Orchid and found it nice and quiet...just be aware that the Hilton is touted as a family resort so there just might be more traffic...I don't know about the place in Maui since we stayed in Maui for significant time and stayed at a resort, but good luck! Have a great honeymoon--you will love Hawaii..we did!
