Hawaii or St lucia

We narrowed it down to Hawaii and St lucia..But we dno wat we wanna do....We are going 10 days....Any adivce dont know alot on st lucia

I have not been to either place, but here is my opinion. Hawaii is the type of place that you may not be able to get back to for a long time. It is a very special 'once-in-a-lifetime' type of place. However, Hawaii if very expensive. Not just flying there and hotels, but once you are there, everything is very expensive. St. Lucia is in the carribbean, so obviously much easier to get to. I am not sure how expensive it is or not. Are you looking to do all-inclusive in St. Lucia? I guess it depends on what you want. I think both are great choices!!! Sorry, I was NO help!

I've never been to Hawaii but St. Lucia is beautiful. I absolutely loved it when I went there. My cousin went to the Sandals Resort last year for her honeymoon and said it was amazing. There is a lot of poverty there though, more then you would probably find in Hawaii.

we were on the same issue but decided on Hawaii since we prob wont ever get the chance to go back there because its expensive so we dont feel as bad spending that for our honeymoon... there are so many cruises that stop at st lucia which we always go on so i figured were bound to go there sometime after!

We were debating between the two also. We ended up picking Sandals in St. Lucia. Even though we REALLY wanted to go to Hawaii, it would have cost us the same in hotels and airfare as a whole week at Sandals which includes food, drinks and all activities.

If we had a little bit more $ to spend we probably would have picked Hawaii, but luckily St. Lucia seems very similar in a lot of ways.

Hawaii is like a once in a lifetime thing, and it may cost you a little more money, if you have the $$$ I'd say Hawaii. Plus you don't need a passport, or have to deal with customs, or any of that stuff. A little easier traveling.

well that is what I believe to that it is once in a lifetie place to go because with everything that is going on right now I wouldnt be able to tell you the next time we will be able to go on a trip...I just feel sooo bad vecuase my brother is paying for the trip and I know he wants us to have a great time becuase it is our honeymoon I just feel bad that I know the money he would be paying you can get much more in st lucia then hawaii but I also reall like hawaii i prob wouldnt be able to afford by myself in the future...

I went to St. Lucia and lovved it. However my first choice was Hawaii. In the long run - Hawaii was too expensive and too far. Hawaii was going to cost us $8,000+++ just for flights and hotels (not including food, excursions, etc). I heard food can be very expensive...like $100 for breakfast! But many hotels include breakfast.

We went to St. Lucia and spent about $6,000 total. We did alot of excursions and day trips and really got a feel for the island which was great. We did Ziplining, Boat Tours, horseback riding, snorkeling, etc. We wouldnyt have had the $$ to do all that in Hawaii.

I've been to St.Lucia with FH and my friends. We stayed at Sandals Resort for 5 days. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. We stood mainly on the resort area. We didn't go offsite or anything like that. There were limited activities to do but mainly just relaxation. IF I have a choice to pick and money wasn't an issue I would definitely go to HAWAII!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are so many deals to Hawaii these days, especially for this year! I was reading on the forums on Tripadvisor.com that resorts are at 40% capacity...tell your travel agent to watch out for some deals and you'll be able to afford the Honeymoon of your dreams!

FH and I are off to Hawaii in a few weeks (ack)...and our agent keeps calling us to tell us that rates keep falling!

After looking at tons of places we chose the Millionaire suite at St. Lucia's Sandals Regency La Toc resort. It's amazing. It's kinda pricey, but for the beauty, service and amenities it can't beat. You should definitely check it out.

I have never been to St Lucia but have many friends that reccomend Sandals. I have been to Hawaii and think it is the most beautiful place on earth. My friends are living in Kauai right now and the airfare is like 500 and last year it was 1000, so give it a try. There are good deals.

my aunt always told me, 'if you don't go to hawaii for your honeymoon, then you will never go'... i agree its a once in a lifetime thing! so i'm def gonna go to hawaii, even though its gonna cost us more.. we just need to save up extra and cut corners in other places.

The Hyatts offer breakfast for 2 each day in Maui and Kauai. The food is delicious - and it's very worth it. If we didn't have the package it would have run us about $27 per person every day just for breakfast. We found that if we ate a big breakfast, we had a really light lunch and then went out for dinner.

My HM is my 4th time in Hawaii - so I'm obviously very partial to it.

Never been to St. Lucia but I have been to Hawaii quite a few times (FH is from there and his whole family is still there). We actually got married in Oahu at the Kahala. Its the most amazing place in the world

I've been to both places and Hawaii is $$$. Not even just the flight and the hotel but everything costs money. Even the beach chairs and umbrellas you have to rent, food, drinks, excurtions......I know you said your brother is paying for your HM but just keep that in mind b/c all teh things you spend money on while your there can add up really fast.
I personally loved both places and would love to go back to both. Hawaii really is a once in a lifetime trip so if it something that yo can do I would recommend it. St Lucia was amazing too and I would recommend either Sandals Regency or The Grand....the other Sandals is really small. If you want any info either location...excersions and stuff FM me
