Re: Hawaiian Hotels
We just came back from Hawaii and LOVED the Hyatt in Maui. The hotel was beautiful, service was good, beach was nice, pool was awesome. Restaurant and bar was good and the grounds were so beautiful. We had massages at the spa and they wre fantastic. Also, the location was nice as it was in a row of resorts where the trolley between all the resorts were free, and the Sheraton had a really nice area off the beach for snorkeling.

I haven't gone yet but we are staying at the Hyatt in Maui and the Marriot in Kaui. HTH!
We're staying at the Sheraton in Maui. That and the Hyatt were highly recommended to us.

I always respond to these posts...we LOVED the Four Seasons Maui; the club level was incredible, the place was so relaxed, calm, and serene, and Wailea beach was gorgeous. Amazing restaurants too. IMHO, Wailea isn't as busy & touristy as the Lahaina area, so we appreciated the quietness of our resort.

Re: Hawaiian Hotels
Kauai: The Hyatt Regency
Maui: The Fairmont and The Hyatt Regency
They are just so beautiful-- all five star resorts on gorgeous beaches. I have done A LOT of research on tripadvisor and these get the best reviews from real travelers!

Re: Hawaiian Hotels
We're staying at a timeshare in Kauai but our top two choices were the Hyatt or the Princeville (which is on the 'rainy' side but is a beautiful hotel).
In Maui, we're staying at the Westin in Kanapali beach.

Re: Hawaiian Hotels
I just came back from Kauai and Maui. We absolutley loved the Hyatt in Kauai. We went to see the Princeville during our stay and there was no comparison. The Hyatt blew us away. They even called us by our names whenever we walked through the lobby.
As for Maui we stayed at the Fairmont. We loved Kauai more than Maui though. The Fairmont was beautiful-all suites. Has less of an hawaian feel more of a greek island feel. The four seasons is gorgeous there, but in midst of contruction. We were going to stay at Grand Wailea, but when we took a visit we were glad we chose the Fairmont. WAY too many kids.
Go to the spa at the hyatt!!!

Re: Hawaiian Hotels
In Maui we are staying at the Hyatt - our agent was able to get us the same price as the Sheraton, and she said she liked the Hyatt better.
In Kauai, we are staying at the ResortQuest Condos.

Yes the Grand Wailea has this huge pool with all these slides and a wave pool. So more kids are to be found there. But it also depends when you go. We went in october and found it to be really quiet.
