We're staying at the Hyatt in Kauai, which I've heard wonderful things about. The Hyatt in Maui is supposed to be really nice as well, but we decided to stay in the Fairmont Kea Lani. Check out tripadvisor.com for reviews from past guests. Hope this helps. Good luck planning!

We stayed at the Hyatts in Oahu, Kauai, and Maui. The one in Oahu was beautiful but huge. It was worth it to stay there b/c it was part of the hyatt island hopper package, but I would have liked to see some of the other hotels there. We were only there for two nights.

The Hyatt in Kauai was also very spread out, but sooo beautiful and classy. It was classic Hawaiian. The pools were wonderful. The only annoying thing about it was that whenever I forgot something in the room (every morning), it would take 10 minutes to walk each way back and forth! The place is enormous, but I wouldn't have wanted to stay anywhere else. The open air lobby was amazing!

The Hyatt in Maui had a more modern and luxurious style - we loved it just as much as the one in Kauai. The pools were also great.

The hotels each had their own style, but were all wonderful. The restaurants were great too!

We stayed at the one in Maui. It was a nice hotel but we would have preferred something quieter and more romantic for our HM (like the Ritz-Carlton). There were also a lot of kids when we went and it was very crowded. Nice hotel though.

I know a lot of brides on here have stayed at and loved the Hyatts, but in pricing the Hyatts vs. Marriotts, the Hyatts were hundreds more, even the hopper package. We are staying in the Maui Hyatt because of location, but in Kauai, we are staying at the Marriott.

Stayed at the Hyatt Maui in Feb 2003 and had a great time. I wasnt crazy about the room as we had a very lackluster one..not bad but kind of eh. But the grounds are beautiful and the water slide is a lot more fun than I would have imagined.
