I just need to get this off my chest. FH & I have been actively house hunting for over a year now and we have just lost our 3rd house. I just don't know how much more of this I can take!!!!! All I want is to have my own space to begin and raise my family. Our apt is so small you can hardly breath. I am just so let down, so tired....all I feel like doing is curling in a ball & crying. I literally can not handle the thought of going back to that apt and living w/FIL's as a married woman. It honestly sends me into a panic! I have always been independent and moved into the apt to be w/FH and so we could save $$$$. Well almost 4 yrs later and we are still there. I am starting to feel as if we aren't 'meant' to find a house. I just dont know what to do. The sick thing of it all is that we can afford one.
I dont know what to do.

try to look on the bright side in that you CAN afford a house. and God works in strange ways. honestly, if you were meant to have one of the houses you looked at, you would have it. but it wasn't meant to be, so something better is out there for you. just try to be patient. you still have over two months before your wedding and who knows, you may find your dream house next week!
small story... back in 2006 my parents decided they wanted to live on the water. they looked at houses in old field, and found a beautiful house right on the Sound. the view was breathtaking. they made an offer and it was accepted. then, the owner had a change of heart, and my parents lost the house. about two weeks later, a much bigger and more beautiful house was found by their brokers, and it had its own dock and was on the most beautiful part of Conscience Bay, also in old field. needless to say, they bought it. we all moved there and it has been our dream home. i moved to FL to begin med school but the house in old field will always feel like home. moral of the story - the house that is meant for you and FH is definitely out there - i promise!! keep your chin up, girl!

Believe me, I know it *****. We put in offers on NINE houses and were looking at houses every weekend for about 6 months before we finally found 'the one.' And I'm sure you're sick of people telling you that 'If it's meant to be, it'll be,' but it really is so true! When we finally got our house it had everything we were looking for - including a lot of things that some of the other houses didn't have. It'll work out, you just have to be patient.
