heinous invitation question!

How many people are invited to your wedding, by you or other family members, would you rather not share your special day with?

I, specifically have about '10' I secretely hope decline our invite............

yea- we just the one- fh's aunt who is suing us

you would think that thats grounds for being uninvited to the wedding- but apparently not

i think there were about 6 or 7 that i really could have cared less about that my parents invited.

I crossed my fingers that my DH's dad and GF wouldn't come with their 6 kids---and thank lawdy they did not!

Probably around 5-10 as well.

i dont- I'm italian & we hold grudges- you know 'when you go against the family' but my fh is like its my aunt... i am pretty sure i will win this one in the end though

a good 20 people..and lucky me..THEY ALL DID!!

there was also 1 couple that i wanted there soo much to show off too..that sounds bad..but im actually upset that shes not coming cause she thinks im wasting money and doing stupid things and hat a wedding is not what a marriage is about

and i know its not about money at all..but i wanted her to see how 'we' do weddings

hmm.. actually this one guy in particular.. he tried to break us up!!! and he has to be invited because i hate this line.. 'it is not proper' a$$ never bothered to even apologize!!

yeah i definitely have a few that we're inviting that don't really 'need' to be there, but b/c of the laws of someone higher then myself, they are invited

honestly.... as of now, none.

i am being VERY picky about who is at my wedding. I want it small, I want everyone who is there to either be family or good friends. so... none.

we're not inviting anyone i dislike. my parents are paying so we have a much bigger guestlist than we would if FH and I were (lots of family friends, really extended family, etc) but nobody that I'm hoping will decline.

I guess the closest will be a few law school friends who I sent STDs but we aren't as close anymore. I'd be happy if they came, but if I hadn't sent them STDs I wouldn't be inviting them at this point. (They are all OOT so I'm pretty sure they wont come)

my fh was in an accident last year- a drunk driver hit his car & his aunt was in the backseat- and instead of just suing the drunk driver directly- her lawyer talked her into suing my fh & the drunk guy. my fmil hates her now (her sister) so I keep trying to explain to my fh even if we invite her where the hellll are we going to seat her

ahhh i went through that before with my sister and we didn't understand it but its all good now...I still don't get the technicalities involved in it though. If i got into an accident with the people i love i wouldn't sue if it meant jeapordizing their insurance rates, driving history or financial situation. In fact I'm not big on suing. we sued the other driver in our accident coz he was a prick and sunbathed on the hood of his car without asking if we were ok while we waited for an ambulance and it was 100% his fault. he was laughing i ALMOST JUMPED ON HIM.

OMG i can't believe that... i swear no one in my family would do that. curious... you said you're italian - is the aunt?

ok -- seriously - theres a group of cousins that i am inviting b/c they are family

... but i havent seen them since my 1st wedding 10 years ago
