Probably about 30-40 for me! Family in Nebraska that I really don't know very well, and they are farmers! They would probably be like the movie with the hillbillies in NYC! Good people though. I just know they won't come.

I don't know what the hair stylist is going to say when she sees my mom and her curly mullet.

Seriously, I want to spread my midwestern family out at every table so everyone can have the MIDWESTERN experience.

It will be all O can do to keep my mom from sneaking in a cooler of beer 'just for her' and trying to hide it under her reception table!

Oh, and my mom asked if she could wear her birk's if she wore a floor length gown............I said sure, as long as you compromise and wear a REAL bra and not that jogging bra you love so much!

Really? Not a one. We're paying for the wedding ourselves, and only invited who we wanted. I can't belive how many of you have to have 15 or 20 people at your wedding that you don't want there - if I had to pay $3000 so that people i can't stand could eat and drink for a night, I'd throw a FIT!

I have to hand it to you ladies for keeping your cool. I seriously would flip my lid if my parents told me that I had to invite someone I didn't want to the wedding.

NONE! we crossed EVERYONE off our list that we didn't want there including my mother's best friend (or now ex best friend) b/c she was a biotch @ my e-party and said she thought it was inappropriate that my fh touched my arse while we were dancing. (and he wasn't groping me btw.)


I am so happy that everyone invited is invited happily and willingly. as much as we pay per head for weddings only those that we really want there should be invited.

My mom is not insisting we invite anyone, she would like it small and intimate.

Its my FH that has ALL of these friends. He is hoping for like some kind of reunion or something......

I am inviting 275 but hope about 25 people don't come! is that bad???? no one in particular...just didn't want a huge wedding but FH's family is ENORMOUS and my mom has a million friends

AW, less is more!

Not really too many. I cut one person off the invite list because he was directly responsible for almost killing my cat.

He left our door open for about 20 minutes and our cat decided to go on an adventure. This adventure involved us crawling down storm sewer drains, the most dramatic and awful fight FH and I have ever haid, spending $$$$$ on cat traps, driving around the neighborhood shaking treats, and waking up 12 nights at 2 am and 5 am trying to find her. He never once asked if we could use help or said he was sorry or even mentioned it! I would have been able to forgive if he had APOLOGIZED. He never did and this is why he is FH's EX-friend.

He was struck from the list very early on. He is the only person in this world that I feel this nastily towards. I have already said if we run into him (which we will eventually, since he and FH ran in the same crowd in college) I will tell him to leave. I don't care if it someone else's wedding, a college reunion, or just the grocery store. I just cannot have him in my sight.

(Oh, and luckily, after 12 days on the run and some adventures in storm sewers, Eden wandered into our trap and has never ever shown interest in sneaking out again.)
