I'm a newbie and I'm in serious need of help. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a florist, photographer, or dj for my 2008 wedding. Some of the vendors that are recommended by my RH are
Florists: Flowers by Brian Pedestals Stefans
DJ Entertainment Tonite Starlight Express Big Hits
Photographers Deja Vu Pro-Line Studios Sherwood Triart Creative Compositions
* I've also heard great things about Tommy's Tunes, Patken, FM Entertainment so any reviews or suggestions are welcomed. I was also wondering if any of you ladies have quotes from DJ's/ Photographers/ and Florists because again I'm new at this and I want to see what I'm up against. Thanks so much for all your help!

Re: HELLLLLLLLLLLP
I used FlowerBarn (LIW vendor) Mike did a superb job and sooooo sweet
I used Velvet for photo and video, just check Bob out he is awesome and so sweet!
I used DanceJock, we had the owner Scott do our wedding THE DANCE FLOOR WAS PAAAAAAAACKED. He did an awesome job
You should check out Spin Around Sound for DJ. Tom is really great and he's a perfectionist so you can't go wrong with that!

Re: HELLLLLLLLLLLP
I personally thought that Sherwood Triart was the best out of allthose that I looked at. It was very, very professional looking. YOu want that especially since4 there will be alot of pretend photographers at your wedding. You don't want to see your cousin Joe's pictures looking better than your hired photographer or videographer. check them out. Good luck

Re: HELLLLLLLLLLLP
i know Entertainment Tonite is excellent ... my friend is using them for her wedding and they have used them for all her sister and borothers weddings ... you should ask for Guy ... i would have booked them but they were out of my budget ... i am using let us entertain you ... i got recommended to them and they were very reasonable ... got a lot more for my money then I would have gotten from Entertainment Tonite!!!

Re: HELLLLLLLLLLLP
I met with Starlight express (Paul) and Honestly if you have any doubts just go to their studio and see their work first hand. They are going to be at an expo at Jericho Terrace on Feb. 7. Try to make it.
But bottom line, they have great Mc's great set up and accomodate your every need. Im happy with my selection .
Hope you decide on one that meets your taste in music and ambiance for your wedding. I think they can do it.

Re: HELLLLLLLLLLLP
What type of pricing/budget are you looking at? There is a HUGE range amongst the vendors.
Flowers- In house florist....but of all the florist I saw I liked LA Blossoms (laurie is great and very creative), Burton's(great price)
DJ- FM Entertainment (great price and friendly staff)
Photo/Video- I am using Golden Moments Dan Saviano. I saw GMs work at a close friends wedding and another friend rec'ed Dan. They worked great with my prices and are really friendly.
I found the search function in the message boards to be REALLY helpful. I would suggest choosing a few names you like and searching for them on here (especially in the Brides' reviews section)
