Re: HELP!!!!

I would be crushed too. Postponement is one thing but his is VERY close to the wedding to postpone. I have to agree with everyone, you gotta sit him down, tell him how you feel and try to work it out.

Re: HELP!!!!

remember this one thing YOU DID NOTHING WRONG
This isnt about who did what, its about life and reality and getting to know oneself!

DONT BLAME YOURSELF! If you follow your heart and give as much of yourself as possible you cna NEVER blame yourself!!!!!

Its about him and issues he has!!!!!!!!

Re: HELP!!!!

I am so sorry. I wish I knew what to say, other than you need to talk with him to find out why he is doing this. Maybe you need to go to counseling together. I wish you all the luck in the world.

Oh Sweetie! Hang in there!!! It sounds like he has issues of his own to work out. You did nothing wrong, and even he admitted that. The best thing that you could do for yourself and for your relationship is to pick yourself up, and just be there for him when he is ready to talk. Believe me, I know it is easier said than done...

Re: HELP!!!!

Im very sorry to hear the hardship your going through.

Let me begin with saying that I am divorced and this will be my 2nd marriage. Definitely communicate and talk this out. Strange things happen for a reason. He may have cold feet and may be scared, then again, he may be having 2nd thoughts. I realized in life that you always have to think of what you think could 'never' happen to you. The main thing is that you remain strong and concentrate on picking yourself up. Remember that YOU are the most important person in your life and your happiness is your responsibility. Dont allow anyone or anything to 'crush' you! It's all about you! Be strong and dont let this get you down. Try to find out the reasons. However, keep in mind that you cant force a relationship to survive if it's not 2-sided. This may be nothing. But, if it's more of a breakup, then you need to realize that life does go on! I thought my life was over after 3 years of time investing in a marriage to see it all falls into pieces. Instead, I have found the most wonderful hubbie-to-be and I am grateful for my sanity and soul confidence. So, go to work, dont cry and try to occupy your time while you are both going through this. Pick yourself up and BE HAPPY. Live your life today as it were your last. Life is to short!

Re: HELP!!!!

Hi,
I had something of a lesser degree happen to me after we got engaged. My FH was a bit wasted and confided in my close friend that he was really nervous about getting married etc. She told me what happened and I was totally devastated. Now this was just before I started to leave deposits and it was not 6 months before the wedding but it was devastating nonetheless. I felt like the world was such a different place and that I was in a bad dream. Well anyway I did confront him about it and we talked about it. He said it's nothing that I've done wrong and he knows that I'm the best thing that has ever happened to him but it's a very big decision and he got nervous because we actually started all the planning and it became very real to him....well anyway I'm happy to say that things have been fine and he just needed to get it out there because it's been something that he needed to say. Maybe your FH has been feeling the reality of it all and just needed to say this to you.....I hope this helps

Re: HELP!!!!

How are you doing? Better I hope. I know this is not easy to deal with but believe me, you don't want him (or anyone) to marry you unless they are 100% into it. He hasn't said he doesn't want to marry you - just that he wants to postpone it for a while. He needs time - give it to him. You will feel much more confident when you marry him because you will know that it is what you both want.
