I'm looking for the proper wording for our reception cards. This is what we have so far- The pleasure of your company is requested at the reception following the ceremony Carlyle on the Green Home of the 2002 US Open Bethpage State Park Long Island, New York 7:00 cocktails The question is, do we need anything else? Is the wording correct? Thank you for your feedback.

Why include Home of 2002 US Open? I think that Carlyle is a nice enough place to stand on its own reputation. Just my opinion, but it might seem out of place to mention it.

If you and your FH are huge golf fans, then I can see you mentioning the Open but if not, no reason to include it.

I'm I dunno.. but should it maybe say HOST and not home.. because it isnt where the open usually occurs and also I live in Bethpage and most of the places saying host. My families vacations at Kiawah Island, SC which was the Host to the Ryder Cup a few years back. For example Flushing meadows is the home of the US OPEN tennis wise.. But UTAH was the host to the Olympics. I think it is silly to put on the response cards kinda but if he likes it that way, then do it! We put.. Imperial Manor Bethpage, NY Cocktails 4:30PM Dinner and Dancing 5:30pm ( we would have to pay additional for a fifth line with our invite company!!) Laurie

.... at the reception following the ceremony .... .... .... 7:00 cocktails Is the ceremony ending at 7:00? You really do not need both. The US Open bit is a whole other issue. But I understand your point about your FI's request.Welcome New Vendors
