HELP

Re: HELP

we werent having one up until about a week before when i had a meltdown and decided I wanted one. The best, by far decision i made. One of our most favorite vendors and i have only seen the highlights reel but i have watched it 100 times and we both keep saying we are so glad we did it.

coming from someone who was dead set against spending the money on it. i would say go for it. You can have it and not watch it but you cant ever make one again if you do want it.

oh also, its different than the pictures becuase of the movement captured, it helps relive the exact emotions, more than just smiling for the camera.

Hmmm, this may sound morbid but you can tell him that it will be a nice way of having video-taped memories of people who will be present at your wedding but may not necessarily be around in the next 30 years or so.

You can also tell him that you want your children to be able to watch it.

I agree with you. That's 1 of the many reasons we got a video.

I love watching my aunts video and seeing my grandma standing their clapping, or getting emotional, or talking. You don't get that from a picture.

We both decided we didnt want video for the same reason your FH said. We just dont think we are going to watch the video that often and would rather the still pictures.

Re: HELP

The video was important to me b/c it really does capture all those little moments that the cameras don't....like actually hearing you say your vows and all the dancing and stuff. But also b/c I feel like the day goes by SO fast...you miss A LOT of things

Re: HELP

At first I was anti-video but later read all the articles from past brides who said their biggest regret was not getting video.

Thing is, that video will last for future generations and it is not just a video that captures your wedding, but a video that will capture your parents, your guests and friends. Pictures can't come close to that.

For that reason, I changed my mind and told FH that I was not going to be cheap and skimp out on video. Our photographer gave us a great price for video (only 1K and we get the songs we want inclided in editing) so I am really happy we went and booked a videographer..

Re: HELP

I wanted video. To me it was important because it is a memory we can share with our children, etc...

I have also heard that after the wedding it is so great to see because you can miss certain things going on during the wedding. See if you can price around!!

Best of luck!!

I think the 2 best reasons to get a video are that 1) you will get to see parts of your wedding that you missed and 2) this is going to sound sad but it's just honest...it may be the only live footage you will have of ppl that won't be here in the years to come....live footage of ppl you care about is priceless...
