FH's friend is a moron. I'm sure your FH is smart enough not to let his only single friend push him into doing something stupid. So let his friend go hook up with all the girls down at Mardi Gras. That bachelor party is supposed to be about time out with the guys......not trying to hook up with as many women as possible.

hmmmmmmm......I wouldn't like those comments either! Guys are guys and they make insensative comments sometimes but no matter what it's always uncomfortable to hear stuff like that. Did you bring it up to FH? I would have said something right away! Tell him how you're feeling
Sorry hun

Re: help...
This is a tough one.
Honestly, if you trust your FH to marry him, it doesn't matter what his idiot friends say b/c he loves you and wants to be with you for the rest of his life. I think you should tell him what you overheard so you can talk about it.

Some men are such pigs - which is why that one guy is still single!!!!!!! I am sure things will be fine - but you should still sit down and talk to FH about how this new orleans trip makes you feel and admit you overheard his friend talking and you think that is really disguisting and insensitive of him to even suggest something like that.

I would talk to FH about what you heard and how you feel about it. His friend sounds like a real gem!!!

Re: help...
I think all of our FH's have one jack@ss friend that makes inappropriate comments and suggestions...and that guy is the perpetual single guy in the group of friends because of his personality/behavior/verbal diarrhea.
I wouldn't worry about it. Just because Nasty Dude makes suggestions doesn't mean that you FH is going to take part. You trust him, that's why you're with him. Nasty Dude is probably just upset that yet another one of his buddies is getting married and he's nowhere near having an adult relationship.

TOTALLY agree with Laura..
However, I would still be uncomfortable with this...but that;s just me. Talk to your FH about it ?

tried talking to FH about it and he was his usual stubborn self. 'we're going to go where I want to go, not where my friends want to go, and not where you want me to go.' missing the point that i'm not trying to dictate where he goes.

Re: help...
Def talk to FH. I was down in new orleans last week and love it so much, I am highly considering for my bach party. Yes the ladies are there, but it is so much more about the food, jazz, culture and bars on the street. The friend may venture into the XXX establishments but not necessarily everyone else, there is so much going on. It is a lot more about the tourists and I feel they are cleaning up the city a bit post-Katrina. I'm not sure about mardi gras, but any other time of year I think it is fantastic place, JMO of course. Still, talk to FH because you will be feeling uneasy until you do, at least that's what would happen to me!

Re: help...
honestly, i wouldnt worry bc thats just his dumb friends being immature. Your FH loves you and you trust him so I wouldnt worry about anything happening.
that being said i would just tell FH the comment you heard and that it bothers you.

Re: help...
I have to say that I COMPLETELY agree w/what all the ladies have said so far. The bottom line is that you have a choice...you can let it upset *IF* he goes or not. When the time comes and *IF* he does go there for his bachi party, you could focus on the fact that FH is the man that you love and just b/c he goes to New Orleans does not mean that he would do anything. Men who chose to cheat dont need a bachi party or to go away to do it. You seem to be a very smart woman and would know if you were marrying a man who would not respect you as your deserve.

Re: help...
sounds like fh friend is a poopoo head. try not to let it get to you. you know your man better than anyone. if you decided to bring it up to fh just be careful how you say it. last thing you want is a fight about trust issues.

I would definitely talk about it with your FH. Just explain that even though you trust him and his judgment, what his friend said made you feel uncomfortable. I know that if I were in your shoes, it would eat away at me and I would have to say something just to feel better.

I would be uncomfortable with those comments as well but you know your Fh and if you trust him I dont think that you have anything to be worried about. Hios freind can say anything thathe wants but he is a grown man and can make his own decisions. I doubt he's the type to do something just because his friend makesa stupid comment. Dont worry about it. I'm sure your Fh knows that he a great woman and he would be folish to do something to mess that up.
