My FH has an issue with his mom. She had agreed numerous times to walk down the isle by herself for our ceremony even though she's married to someone new (whom all the family despises - he acts like a complete jackass). Now all of the sudden he told me his mom wants to walk down with her new hubby, and FH said no when she called asking this morning because he doesn't feel it's right since it's not his father or stepfather (both of whom he was extremely close to). I know this isn't my battle, and I don't have a say in what happens. I'm trying to stay out of it, but what do you girls think? It's such a mess, I'm just not sure what to do!

Re: Help!!!
As much as it's your day, it's his day as well.
If he feels really strongly about this, as he rightly should, I'd stand behind him.
If having his mom walk down the aisle with her new husband whom he doesn't have a relationship with bothers him, then she (his mom) should understand. Especially being his mother.
I wouldn't even think twice about it if I were you.
And if she agreed multiple times before this to walk the aisle by herself I'd begin to wonder what the sudden change was all about. And if I had to guess it would probably be some pressure coming from her new husband.
If she can't respect her son and your FH's wishes on your day (meaning his and yours) then she might choose not to be a part of the procession at all.
I don't mean to come off really strongly but I'm also having an issue with people that I'm not close to trying to squeeze their way into my BP.
If you want someone to vent to that is having similar issues, feel free to send me an FM.
