Help, Addressing invites

When do you use Miss and when do you use Ms.

I thought anyone who was not married should be Miss but looking at list from FMIL, she has used both.

Input please??

Thanks

I used to think that too, but i read somewhere that Miss is for anyone unmarried under 18 i think... if they are unmarried, over 18, then use Ms.

I used Miss on all of the girls who aren't married and never were. I used Ms. for those who still use their maiden name even while married, and those who are divorced.
For those who are widowed and never re-married, but still use their marriage last name, Mrs.
HTH!

For adult woman: It's MS.
For little girls it's: MISS
If it's someone who is divorced, its MS.
For a young boy, it is 'Master________'

Hope that helps
