Help Apologizing

I started a disagreement, a large and loud disagreement with my FI last night that is totally my fault. He did nothing wrong but for whatever pms reason there is I said some pretty terrible things. How do I apologize so he knows I really mean it? Help!!!

Re: Help Apologizing

Why don't you buy him a nice card and write in there how much you love him and then verbally tell him how sorry you are again when you see him.

Re: Help Apologizing

Although it's not 'customary' to get a man flowers, one time my FH and I got in a really big fight too, which was TOTALLY my fault (well, more than once - heehee). I wrote him a nice card, and bought him eleven live roses and one silk one. I wrote on the flower card 'I'll love you until the last rose dies'....my FH loved it!

Re: Help Apologizing

A card would be nice or some candy and rent a nice romantic movie together!

Re: Help Apologizing

I think saying you are truly sorry means a lot, when you really do feel sorry for something that you have done. Flowers never heart- a new DVD for a guy might even be better.

Re: Help Apologizing

gifts are nice, but saying 'i'm sorry' and 'I was wrong' usually does the job

Re: Help Apologizing

Well, here's the update!
Marni, your idea was perfect. On the way home from work I bought the flowers and card. I couldn't wait to get home (we live together). When I pulled in the driveway the house was dark. I was concerned because FI was supposed to be home. I thought I really upset him and he left, went drinking with the guys etc. I thought the worst! When I opened the door there had to be 100 candles lite all over the living room, den and kitchen. Dinner was made and on the table. A dozen white roses were in a crystal vase with a card that in part said, 'I'm sorry that the stress of the wedding plans have gotten to you and that I haven't been supporting you as much as I should.....' He wrote a book, but you don't need to hear it. This was all my fault, he did nothing wrong. I couldn't beleive that he took the blame for me. Well, we had a nice dinner and dessert.

Thanks to all for your suggestions and help!
You are all truly the best and thanks LIWeddings for allowing us to help each other.

BTW - he loved my flowers and card - Thanks again Marni!

Re: Help Apologizing

I love a happy ending...see that is one man that can understand the pressures that wedding planning can bring on a gal. All the best
