Help - Bridesmaid dresses??!

ACKK. Girls I need your help!
I just cannot find any bridesmaid dresses that I like. I think i just don't really want to use traditional bridesmaid gowns (not because I don't like them but because I am looking for more of an informal look). I was thinking of trying to find just a nice dress at a regular store (not a bridal store). Does anyone have any suggestions?

Also, i am not opposed to a 'brdiesmaid gown' but I am looking for something a little different. Help!

Oh yeah, my wedding is in April (acckk) and we are hoping to do it outside (please pray it won't rain!) so that might influence your ideas. THANKs ladies!

Re: Help - Bridesmaid dresses??!

Here's the link to the one I chose.

I felt the same way about not wanting a traditional bm dress...I just felt they were always so unflattering. So we went for this...very sexy, comes in great colors, and it's great for springtime!

I picked cornflower blue.

Jim Hjelm

As a matter of fact, the new Jim Hjelm line is absolutely beautiful too....and not very traditional!

Re: Help - Bridesmaid dresses??!

my girls also chose jim helm, they look more like dresses you can wear to dinner, very elegant, not birdesmaidy
heres one for example: (my MOH's dress in lilac)

Re: Help - Bridesmaid dresses??!

I HIGHLY recommend Jessica McClintock. I too was looking for something different...my girls wound up getting 'special occasion' dresses, and received compliments all night!! Definitely check them out. And reasonably priced as well. Their dresses were $175, which nowadays is considered reasonable...

Re: Help - Bridesmaid dresses??!

You also might want to try the dessy or after six lines- some of the dresses are not bm-ish.
