he just got into golfing so i got him father of the bride golf balls, and i wanted to get him one of those personalized hankies with the poem, but hes been such a HUGE help to us i wanted to get him something really nice. i was going to do a watch but my sister just got him one for her wedding in nov.

my other sister suggested a nice engraved frame that he can put a wedding picture in and a pic of us when i was little.

the engraved frame sounds nice. i also like the father of the bride golf balls idea.
i gave my dad a watch and i wrote him a super long letter about all my favorite memories of him. Taking me to school, getting upset when boys called, the road trips, when he cried when i left to college, how i always looked for a man to treat me the way he treats my mom and us, etc. My mom says he carries that letter with him ALL the time now.

My dad totally gets mad when we spend money on him so I got him a nice handkerchief from new traditions with a nice poem from me to him...everytime I read the poem I cry!!!
