HELP FH needs a new wedding band! w/ UPDATE

I just made him try it on and it slipped right off without even doing anything. It's an 11.5 and we just measured his finger and he needs a 10.5. There's no way he's taking this one on the HM. So we need to get a cheaper one like today. Where can we go? (not tri-county. preferably near roosevelt field bc i will be at work most of the day)

I went to Zales in the source mall - they were great, very helpful, cleaned my e-ring for me. I got him a tungsten band size 10.5.
yep, it's too big, falling off.
i guess they do run small. big. whichever.
so now he's working the next 3 days and we can't go til thursday. but neither of them will work, even for the ceremony. they fall right off.

and they wouldn't resize his original band bc it has a milgrain edge and it might get distorted.

oh my gosh!!! Ok....dont panic.....did u ask ur jeweler if they can resize it like asap?? I know ur wedding is in like 6 days but even if they charge you a rush fee...it may be cheaper than buying a new band!!!

we got it from bluenile so there's definitely not enough time for resizing. he wanted a less expensive band anyway to wear to work (he's a cop), like tungsten or something. i will check out the places in roosevelt field i guess.

I got FH an cheap tungsten ring on overstock for like $85. Maybe they can overnight it to you.

That's what I was going to say. FH's Tungsten was $45 on Overstock. But definitely go for overnight or 2-day shipping because they usually take a few days.

FYI - For Tungsten, they usually say to buy a size smaller than the finger is...but don't. We had to exchange it three times, only to get the same size that FH's finger was actually sized at.

oh man, yeah we ordered fh's tungsten from zales online because the store said it would take 6 weeks to come in ( which would have been after our wedding !) So i ordered his size online and it came within a few days, BUT its pretty loose on him, and then I find out that you cant resize tungsten!!! So, after the wedding we me have to try and return it, if not buy another one

I'm so sorry this is happening. I can only imagine the stress you are going through right now, and now to deal with this wedding band issue. Hang in there. Everything will be alright.

Fh got his titanium ring from here for $69 no tax and free shipping and it came in like 3 days, he loves it. although you may have to expedite shipping.
