Hey all.. I've been to about 15 venues, and for some reason the somerly room has stood out to my fiance and I. We made an appointment to meet with the banquet manager next week, hopefully a different one than last, and possibly ready to sign papers! I'm just discouraged by the price we were originally quoted which is more than I've been reading from other message boards. I'm looking for a Saturday in October 2013. Anyone have any advice or info regarding prices that I should keep in the back of my mind for my upcoming appointment? Thanks in advanced!

Re: HELP - Hoping to finally book SOMERLY room
I know October is still considered the 'high season,' but see if there is anything they can do for you - like throwing stuff in if they aren't willing to come down in price. If you can see if Mike T. is available - he was great when we met with him! Good Luck

Keep in mind that the time of year and day of the week play a huge part in the price. Also, alot of girls received pre-construction discounts for booking before the room was completed. You are looking in Oct. which is still a prime month and Sat. is the most expensive day. When I was inquiring about pricing, Sat day and Friday evening were about the same, Sat evening added quite a bit to the cost pp. I would think this would be over $100/pp. But go and meet with them and discuss your budget, etc. Hopefully they can work with you.

Dave Gerin has been helping me and he quoted us less then what we thought we would have to pay. October is their high season though and Saturday nights are at least $10 more a plate and your would need a higher min. count

thank you ladies for all the responses.. I'm fully aware that a saturday in October is $$$. With that, we were open to a Sunday wedding if we were really in love with a place but too expensive. Unfortunately, the church times don't coincide with the RH. So basically I'm just hoping that we don't get quoted anything out of the ordinary like we did originally. Monday is the appointment, hope all goes well and smooth! Thanks again ladies!!!

We booked the WGP at Fox Hollow for $82 pp, October 12th 2013.
Did you meet with Jen at all? She was fantastic, and wayyyy better than the 3 other gentlemen I spoke to on the phone who made me want to pull my hair out.
Oops, edited - realized you had said something about the reception time which was going to be my main comment.

Oooh that's the date were looking to book. So are you at night? Is there a price difference between rooms? When we went originally they never told us any info about any other rooms except somerly bc that was there selling point. I don't know who we're meeting with on Monday but hopefully someone decent lol

Nope, we're in the afternoon. There was no way we were going to wait until 8pm for the ceremony, then CH and reception - WGP is all gorgeous skylights and we wanted daylight to really set off the arden-party meets vintage wedding feeling. I don't know if there's a price difference, but I'm almost positive there's going to be a minimum needed for Somerley. We didn't discuss one for WGP because FH & I really want no more than 100 and ours is a small space - i think Somerley holds more and is much newer, so you may have to guarantee something.

Did you check our Westbury manor? I know I am bias but I think it had some of the me dark woods and rustic feeling.
We also wanted a sat in sept or oct but for price we moved to a Sunday in April.
Good luck!!

Re: HELP - Hoping to finally book SOMERLY room
Each of Fox Hollow's rooms have minimums that need to be met. WGP is going to be considerably less than The Somerley. I'm booked in the Somerley for a Saturday night this September. From what I've heard from other girls, I know the minimum has changed since I booked and I did qualify for pre-construction pricing. See if they are willing to throw things in for the cost per person they want to charge.
