I'm sorry, but I am going to be one of the ones who does not agree with '*****************' here. 50 degrees is COLD to sit in one spot, with possibly the wind blowing. If I was a guest, even with a sweater, I would not be happy. Two weddings I have been two in the fall where things were outside, really all I can remember about them is how cold I was during that part. If it was my wedding, anything under 60 I would not do outside. We were even going to do it inside if it was a hot and humid day because we didn't want people to be uncomfortable...

I agree. Sometimes I don't bring a coat to a wedding, I'm expecting to go from my car (valet parked right at the door) to a warm hall and then back to my valeted car. I would have to wear DH's jacket and I would be grumpy. IMO, it's nice to think about your guests and consider moving the ceremony inside. You can still go outside and take pics before or after the ceremony. In the end it's your decision, but remember that these people have taken time out of their lives to celebrate with you and making them sit out in the cold for half an hour isn't the best way to start a celebration. Also, you want them to enjoy the ceremony, not bear through it to get to the party, right?

Like I said, I understand this point of view. If it's in the '50's, windy and freezing, obviously I'll use common sense. However, I'm not going to move the ceremony inside if I don't have to especially when all of the guests knew it would most likely be outside. Thanks for your input ladies!

Do what you want!! Seriously. I also see everyone's point, but you get married only once!!! If it is your dream, then do it that way. the people who are most important to you will be there, will be happy, and wont give a cockadoodle if it's a little chilly (they won't even notice it).

it if makes you feel better - we'll be in the central park conservatory gardens doing our second dream ceremony. i'll be happy if only me and fh are there and if anyone else is joins us, that would just be extra special.

i don't think 50s is unreasonable if you use your common sense regarding how the weather will likely be that day (wind, rain, etc).

Thank you so much. I'll be thinking of you on Saturday and hoping for sunny skies and warmth for you and your FH!!!

Theresa if I have to freeze my tuckus off for you in a halter dress and a wrap with no way of wearing a jacket, I will do it and deal. You're the bride and this is your wish, and I could not dream of taking that away from you just for the sake of staying warm.

Everyone else will understand.
