OK so here is the deal I got engaged in July of 2008. He asked me to marry him on his birthday, sooo cute anyway, We first were planning a May 2010 Wedding so I had all the time in the world BUT..... I got into Nursing school YAY and we had to push the wedding up, HOLY STRESSED . I am Getting married SEPT 6,2009 or OCT 11,2009 and have absolutely nothing done. WHere should I start what should I have done first..... We will know the exact date in a week but where do I go from there? I have 10 months!!!!

ok i would say def get hall and church or wherever u r geting married done first...then get photo/video cause they can book up then just one thing at a time..u will be fine dont worry

Thank you all for your help When should I order the dress I am going to start looking very soon but I want to lose a few more pounds more like 20lbs so what you say should be the latest you order the dress?

Once you have your hall and your church/officiant booked I would get the Photo/video and DJ done. Def your dress and then flowers. Bridesmaids dresses you can put off til January, thats what I'm doing and I'm getting married right between your possible dates. I would get the big vendors done though
Even try to get your hair and makeup booked bc you would be surprised at how many people are booking over a year in advance.

you definitely should book your reception hall... and if you are getting married in a church you need to book that as well. honestly, you have plenty of time... i know girls who just booked their wedding for this upcoming may and june. my girlfriend planned her wedding last year in 7months. i wouldn't feel too stressed out!

Welcome!!! And congrats on your engagement. both Larkfield and East Wind are wonderful choices. I'm an EW bride so they get my vote but I've been to Larkfield and they are amazing as well.
Don't stress - you have more then enough time. I think the easiest thing is to pick one vendor at a time and schedule appointments. It can get very overwhelming very fast. Just remember to take some time to make sure you de stress!!
I would say RH & church (if you are getting married in one), photographer, DJ, and florist.
I wanted to lose weight before I started dress shopping but my advice is start looking. It might take you awhile to find the perfect dress. Better to start looking and they can always take the dress in when you reach your goal weight. I bite the bullet and went looking and found my dress much quicker then I thought so now I have time work on the weight. Good luck and you have us to help

you will get it done. I know someone who planned her wedding in less than 3 months (and it was nice!)
RH, Church/officiant, photos, and DJ start with! Then move on from there!

hey! dont stress! First thing you should do it get a place! Then photog and flowers. Then video/DJ and I would then go for your dress. If you take it one thing at a time ... it will be great!

hii, let me just say im in the same exact boat as you...well, nearly... we got engaged in september and was supposed to plan for an april 2010 wedding but we had to push up the date to nov 2009, so here i am scrambling to book my hall...kindred spirits!!!

I highly recommend handling one vendor at a time b/c it will be soooo overwhelming if you juggle dj and florist or photographer at the same time.
