HELP! I'm getting married in 2 weeks and my dress is ruined!

Bridal Couture of Manhasset steamed my dress and ruined the material on the bodice and the pleats on the back of the train! I took the dress home in fear of it being damaged even further, now the designer is sending me a replacement train and bodice, but I need a GREAT seamstress who is awesome and can work quickly as my wedding is on October 2nd! I need them to asemble my dress and press it to perfection! I'M DESPERATE!!!! HELP!

Is the Bridal Suite paying for all your alterations and for the replacement pieces?

I am so sorry to hear that. I am sure everything will work out fine. Just what you need two weeks before your wedding to be worrying about this

I also know a seamstress that my mom's co-worker used for her wedding dress. I personally can't vouch for her but the wedding dress was beautiful. FM me for her phone number. And I was thinking the same thing about the bridal place paying for the replacement and all alterations.

Sorry you have to go through so close to your day!

There is an incredible tailor in Huntington Village, on Green Street, called Mario's Tailor. He has done a ton of stuff for our family for over 15 years and should definitely be able to help. Good luck!

1. Who is your designer?
2. Call the executive office of this person hourly until they offer to assist you immediately.
3. Write the name of every person you speak to.
4. Walk, do not run, to Bridal Couture of Manhasset and explain to them in no uncertain terms that THIS IS THEIR FAULT AND THAT YOU WOULD LIKETO KNOW WHAT THEY PLAN TO DO TO REMEDY THIS RIDICULOUS SITUATION...they must find you a dress or fix the one they ruined. That you are worrying about this is crazy -- this is THEIR PROBLEM!!!!!!!

I'm so sorry you have to deal with this!! ACK!!

I am using a lady in Hicksville to do my alterations. She's very nice and I think could handle you quickly. She's behind Trinity Catholic Highschool if you know where that is and/or it's convenient for you.

FM if you want the phone #.

Take a deep breath... it will work out!! And MAke THEM PAY for everything! Sheesh!!

Deb is 150% right - its their problem I would make them fix it immediatly - but they steam dresses all the time - how could they have done that - it sounds weird. Did they burn it?
