Help ME Choose A Hall!!!!

Hello Ladies..I am new to this chat, just got engaged 2 weeks ago...Me and my fiancee have started to look at wedding halls of course, and I need some opinions..This is where I have went so far/opinions:

Leonards: First place we went to..I liked it a lot, price wasnt bad.

Jerich Terrace:Was there for a wedding b4, didn't really like the inside of the hall, plus my prom was there...

Floral Terrace: Was tehre for a wedding b4, price was too expens!! Plus my fiance's sister got married there..

Westbury Manor: Felt too old for us, but liked the live birds!

Chateau La Mer: Very nice, but dance floor too small!! Will go there for food tasting..

Verdis: Place itself was OK, sort of felt it was too dark...Cheapest so far 70/pp..

Russos: Very Close to home (Live in Ozone Park, Queens). Also very exps, but can a possible price break...

I'm not sure where to go to next...Can someone help me out or offer some insight on LEONARDS???

Thanks!!

What do you liek best about the places, or What are you specifically looking for??

I think two other good ones are Watermill( but Im biased) and Fox Hollow.

I'm looking for something that is pretty-not gaudy or overflowerly, but just pretty...Maybe on the water....And something priced good-Me and my fiance are playing for the wedding.

Well.. I vote for Westbury Manor.. but I am biased.. What do you mean by 'too old'? That the place itself was too old? It is a restored mansion.. Fox Hollow has the same kind of feel. Thats what we like about it, that it didn't have that catering hall feeling, it was more cozy.

I vote for Jericho Terrace, but I'm also biased...

Welcome to LIW and congrats on your wedding!!

I've been to a few places you have looked at so I will share my opinion :) Of course, I am biased towards one...

We went to a communion party at Leonards... place was very pretty, don't remember much about the food but it wasn't a wedding so I'm sure it wasn't as elegant. My only complaint was that we had to walk through a cocktail party to get to the bathrooms...

Jericho Terrace we went to a wedding last year... We weren't impressed. We didn't like the room the wedding was in, it was cheap soda, and poor service. Not our type of place.

Westbury Manor we went to a long time ago, before they redid it I believe. It was a very dark room... again, not our type of place. I just don't remember much about it...

Chateau La Mer is amazing! Delicious food, amazing service and gorgeous!! You will love it when you go for the tasting. Let me know if you have any more questions about it.

Verdis I THINK I went to for one of those dinner show things last year. It was not my type of place, again, but the food was okay :)

Good luck with your decision!!

Re: Help ME Choose A Hall!!!!

Woops-sorry bout that-Didn't explain myself too well.
I liked the idea that it was a mansion-but it felt too old for us-we are 22/23.
It was also dark in there..
I wouldnt mind living there, LOL, but not having a wedding there
