Help me find a hall PLEASE
Let me start by saying we love the Bourne mansion. My father has offered to pay for the whole shabang, but we want to pay at least half. I don't think it's fair to make my dad pay for everything when it is our day. The bourne has a $4000 site fee (this wouldn't be bad if it was tax deductible) but I can't see paying for their grounds fees. The price is $115 pp-Sundays sept through nov or $119 pp-sat sept through nov.
More than we would like to spend because we are looking for a house.
We looked at Timberpoint CC-not our taste-but inexpensive-$63pp-sat day
Westbury manor-love the room, don't like where we would be getting married, would have to go to church or somewhere else.-$80-sunday
Larkfield manor-Love the room, but my mom got married there 2 yrs ago and I kinda wanted our own place.-$68-Sunday (b/c my mom got married there).
Carlyle on the green-beautiful-more than we would like to spend-$135 Sunday day.
North ritz club-pretty-don't like where we would be getting married-not many photo ops.-day $80, night-$135
Woodbury CC-Very pretty-didn't have many dates we wanted and more than one wedding at a time.-$80-sunday pm
Leonards of great neck-Very reasonably priced-$59-am, $63-pm-not many photo ops-pics somewhere else drag.
Watermill-$80-sunday am, $99 fri pm-very pretty, people were rude, didn't like that we could hear the cars rushing by (during ceremony).
Now, I know I'm probab;y just being a picky bi*&%, but I've had this stupid vision in my head since I was a little girl, we love nature and trees-my brother is getting married four months before us and he is doing the beach theme. We wanted a beautiful autumn theme , by a lake or something similar. Our ideal is mansions-they just take my breath away-but we have 220 people on the list and are figuring we'll end up with 150-180. With this many people we would have to separate dinner and dancing and I don't know if I can do that. Everyone seems to think it's really odd.
PS-I am not trying to offend anyone these are just our opinions.
I'm not trying to be cheap-my dad says-pick whatever you want, mom says go cheap-it's only five hours. My fiance just wants to find a place-I think I'm driving him nuts. Girls any help you can give would be immensely appreciated. Thank you Thankyou Thank you
