Help me - I might switch my centerpieces now!

I need help - I am thinking of changing my centerpieces from all Calla Lilies to french tulips - the florist says it will cost the same amount so that is not a consideration.

So can anyone tell me why you like one over the other - how they both hold up - should I switch?

Here is a pic of a sample of the calla lilly centerpiece but I will going with the larger version (vase next to it) so it will be fuller.

or something like this? - also does anyone know how many tulips are in this?

that's a tough one - they are both gorgeous. personally, i LOVE calla lillies, so that would be my vote!

They are both beautiful flowers - and either arrangement would be spectacular, imo. I do know that Calla Lillies are a very sturdy flower - if that is a consideration.

I'm bias, but I love the tulips.. I would have them, but I can't afford them.. I love my gerberas and short tulips.. but anyway.. I VOTED TULIPS.. the only thing, is that the calla lillies, might stay better throughout the night??

what is the room like at the Cherry Valley Club? Do you have any pics or anything so we can get a feel for it? I think it would depend on the decor of the room and the lighting.

I like both of them. I think the tulips are a little less green but they are both stunning.

Didn't LisaT have French Tulips? They were gorgeous.

I like calla lillies, but IMO the tulips look better!

I voted for the tulips! But it is definately a personal preferance! I think the tulips will flow better out of the vase. The calla's tend to have a stiffer look.e

That was the only picture I had an an example - I couldn't find the one with the stage behind it!

I love the tulips... BUT
I'd be way too afriad that they would wilt/fall apart/ get smooshed because they are VERY fragile flowers.
My florist talked me out of them, b.c he didn't want me to be dissapointed if something happened to them and they didn't look right.

I think Calla Lillies are so pretty so graceful so elegant so much reminds me of funerals??

Sorry but its true. I love them but I always relate them to death.

I was thinking of using Calla Lillies as my bo-k but my father and I just couldn't get over walking down the aisle with a death bo-k. If I can't walk with them, I won't have them. But gosh they're so pretty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like violets as well but I still would choose the Calla Lillies they seem 'bolder' and more of a statement.

So.. I vote Calla Lillies.

i picked calla lilies, but i am biased b/c i am doing the same kind of centerpieces. personally, i think they hold up very well and look classy and elegant. the tulips are nice, but not my style!
