I know this seems like it should be obvious, but I feel clueless! Do most dresses have built in bras or do I need to start shopping for the world's most long-lasting strapless bra before my fitting?! Help!! TIA girls

Go to your first fitting with a simple strapless bra. Try on your dress with the bra and also without a bra. Decide if you need a bra. If you do, then go shopping for either a long line bra or a simple strapless bra. Your seamstress would be able to tell you what's best with your dress.

Ok it all depends on how low your dress dips in the back. My dress is super low cut, and I could not find anything to go under that was that low. I also waited way to long. There is a place in woodbury that will alter a corset or bra for you I hear. Also there is another place in massapequa that carries a super low cut corset just for bridal. There is a great place in hicksville too. FM for info if you need.

my dress didnt have a built in bra.but some do
also a crinoline...i think that what they are called to poof out the dress

The seamstress should be able to tell you whats the best option for the dress. Mine is really fitted in the waist and hips, and it dips low in the back, so they told me I can't wear spanx or a corset because the lines would def show. I don't really have a choice but to get cups sewn in...which I'm not too happy about, but I'm gonna see if they can double cup it so it looks like I have boobs!

I have large boobs and have never been able to go without a bra...however I tried my dress on with a strapless and i felt like they were up to my chin. (not cute!!)... then i tried it on without and surprisingly they were held up perfectly...... this will be the first time EVER I don't have to wear a bra.. have you tried your dress on without? you may not need one.
