Help! Need a new venue - Atlantica maybe be closing....

I am in the same boat I was scheduled to get married there on October 1.... at least I am still a year out... I can't imagine if it were in april... at Least I didn't have anyting printed yet... but ***** back to square one - especially since I had this booked since FEBRUARY!

I have the photographer and band - and don't wan't to change the date - AHHHH.

I have appts this weekend at Montauk Yacht Club, the Pridwin in Shelter Island, and am calling the Rams Head inn in Shelter Island... does anyone know anything good /bad about these places?!

So sorry for everyone else that is booked there... I was so in love with it.. but no way in he** am I going all the way up the island to their other location! I live in Sag Harbor!!

*ugh* so frustrated...but FH calmed me down and said that this is a blessing in disguise that we can start over and rethink the size of our wedding (to make smaller more personal) - but still stinks

There was an 07 or 08 bride who had her wedding at Jedidiah Hawkins. The pictures looked beautiful.

We got married at Gurney's and they did a wonderful job. I would recommend them to anyone. It was a perfect day in every way! Good luck with your venue search....but everything happens for a reason and I'm sure you'll find something you love even more than Atlantica!

I am so stressed about finding a new venue... this isn't fair we had ours booked since Feb!!!

So fh and I went to 4 places this weekend and saw none that scream us! We liked one of them - but the others were def. no's. sorry had to vent..

Thanks to everyone for their suggestions though - means a lot~ my moh can't believe how calm I am being! It is just so hard b/c my mom lives out of state and so do all but 1 of my bridal party

I'm in the same boat. This totally *****, doesn't it? My fiance and I booked last October. We had absolutely everything done. I think we're going to suck it up and do it at the Allegria, but only because neither of us has ANY time to plan. Atlantica was actually our 'second' wedding. Our first plan for 2008 fell apart. So the last thing we want is to push our wedding back yet again.
We should have a support group! I hope everything works out for you. I know what it feels like, once you've had your heart set on something, it's hard to let it go.
Just remember though, our weddings, no matter where we have them, are going to be beautiful and special.
